On Balance Pilates studio offers a unique Pilates experience focused on balancing the entire body, working from the inside out. Our beautiful open air studio offers a host of services to meet every persons needs. A fully equipped studio, we offer private, semi-private and group classes on the Pilates reformer, Caddilac, Wunda chairs and barrels.

Our experienced staff also teaches CoreAlign and the Franklin Method. Our mat classes are taught via Zoom at this time. We are proud to be the original Pilates studio on Oahu and we just celebrated 25 years of serving our community.

On Balance Pilates offers a unique fitness experience focused on balancing the entire body, working from the inside out. We are Oahu's original Pilates studio, serving the community since 1993. Our beautiful open air location in Kailua Square, above Cinnamon's restaurant, offers a host of services to meet every persons needs.
On Balance Studio offers Pilates group mat classes and group equipment classes on the Tower and Reformer. Private lessons and duet sessions are available by appointment. Pilates is not a trend or a fad. They are "functional exercises" that have a foundation that goes back decades to its founder, Joseph H. Pilates.
Easy-to-learn exercises on the CoreAlign emphasize an upright posture and are designed to improve posture, balance and functional movement. Developed by physical therapist Jonathan Hoffman, CoreAlign exercises facilitate musculoskeletal rehabilitation by stimulating core stability muscles to fire in perfect timing.
When I was young, my mother frequently chided me about my posture saying, "Stand up straight.". The problem was she didn't know how to teach me what "Stand up straight" (or correct posture) meant or looked like, even after multiple lessons of balancing books on my head.

Forty years, three herniated discs and one failed back surgery later, my pain management doctor said, "I know this great Pilates instructor who I think can help you with your chronic sciatica and low back pain."I thought, "Really?" Two years later, I have lost more than 40 pounds, stopped taking 4 different prescribed medications for pain, and fired the house keepers and landscapers.
I am excited to say that there has been a resurgence of more men doing Pilates in my studio and around the world. A common misconception about Pilates is that it is just for women. After all, Joe Pilates was as macho as they come. He was a beer-drinking, cigar-smoking German boxer, diver, wrestler and bodybuilder.
