All home inspectors are NOT created equal. For many years Nick Kuvach was a licensed Building Contractor in Westchester and Putnam Counties. Home Inspections (including Condo & Co-Op) performed to the New York State Standards of Practice at a minimum. Written report (with photo documentation) delivered electronically within 24 hours. Light commercial inspections are also provided. We know where to look and how to report on issues so that the report we pass onto you is highly informative and readable.
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the NY State Dept. of Health recommend that home buyers test their homes for Radon gas which is a known carcinogen known to cause lung cancer. Following are the EPA & NYS Dept. of Health Radon Test Protocols: To test a home, closed house conditions must be maintained for 12 hours, prior to the beginning of testing and for 48 - 96 hours during the duration of testing.
WDI inspections - commonly referred to as "Termite Inspections" - are inspections for more than just Termites. Carpenter Ants, Carpenter Bees, Powder Post Beetles etc. - all wood destroying insects - are included in WDI inspections. During our inspection, we will look out for the most common signs of an insect infestation.
Well pumps are a great resource to have on your property. They give you greater control over the water that flows through your home and a well's low-cost is great considering how fresh and natural your water is. A well pump must be maintained regularly to function properly, and if you're moving in or out of a home then it's important to know about the health and safety of your well pump.

We called Reveal Home Inspections to inspect a home we were under contract to purchase. Nick was the most complete home inspector we have ever worked with over 30 years. His inspection was incredible in all respects, on a house that was over 100 years old. The inspection was so complete, we were able to really understand our new home. Nick was a wonderfully thorough inspector. He really took the time to go throughout the home and and scrutinize everything he came across. He was also very informative and took the time explaining the process and what/how he was doing the work and why. The same with explaining the radon testing for the home. His reporting was detailed and complete with photos of what was inspected with recommendations as to repairs and causes for the items found that were in need of attention. Hire Nick Kuvach you will NOT be disappointed! He schedules only 1 inspection per day to be sure he has enough time to spend on the appraisal. He has experience as a contractor and will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding the structure of the house. I had a 75 year old house inspected that I was interested in buying. The homeowner was so impressed with Nick's work that she asked for his card! He spent 5 hours on the inspection and was happy to have me crawl along with him through crawl spaces and attic so he could point out the details of his inspection. And he's a nice guy too
