Long's GCS Corp. is owned and managed by home inspector Chris Long. Chris has been working in the home inspection industry since 2009 and has personally completed thousands of detail-oriented inspections for his clients. Chris is a plumbing, heating, and cooling specialist by trade.

All of my inspection services, including the Buyer's Inspection, are done in accordance with the Standard of Practice (SOP) of ASHI, the state of New York, and the state of Connecticut. The Buyer's Inspection is a thorough visual walkthrough inspection of the home completed before a buyer decides on closing.

Chris was a fantastic home inspector. As a first time home buyer, he made me comfortable in all of the different topics that go into an inspection. He explained all the details with precision and patience. Every area of the house was thoroughly reviewed and he highlighted all issues that were pressing. Furthermore, the inspection report was not only delivered quickly but it was also extremely detailed and thorough with pictures and suggestions. I would HIGHLY recommend Chris. Chris was extremely easy to work with and put me at ease as a first time home buyer. He was patient during the inspection, explaining every element thoroughly. After the inspection he remained in touch after receiving the inspection report (ahead of schedule!!) and additional test results. The system Chris uses for sharing information has lots of great features that make it simple to categorize any element you would like to repair or replace, creating a simple work list. I would highly recommend using Chris as your home inspector - we could not be happier!

As a potentially first-time home owner, I can't even begin to describe how helpful Chris Long was to me for not one, but two home inspections in Westchester County. Chris was outstanding in every way. We hired him to conduct in an inspection for a new home, our first time buying a house, and he exceeded all expectations. Chris came out the very next day to inspect a home we are looking to buy. He was professional, but more than that he was educational, patient, informative, and kind. Chris completed the inspection of our new home and I could not be happier with his services. Not only was he thorough and provided all inspection results in an easy-to-read electronic document, he was also willing to speak with me on the phone to answer further questions I had and encouraged me to keep calling if I had more questions. He even helped us out when I had a radon question out of goodwill because I didn't know who else to contact for help. Really goes above and beyond to help his clients. Highly recommend!!
