A family member of mine went to them for dental work years back only to have a botched procedure resulting in multiple return visits for them to fix their mistake (free of charge). Foolishly I decided to make an appointment for my own dental work last year since they took my insurance, and still haven’t recovered. I was told I’d experience sensitivity on the left side for about a week or so afterwards. During the procedure I overheard the female dentist say to the assistant “at least they’re white” as she worked on my teeth. This comment frightened me but I wasn’t sure how to address

Dr. Michael and the entire staff has always been THE BEST. During COVID, I've been working remotely and had the ability to try a new dentist, but did NOT exercise that option due to the way I'm treated and how I'm serviced. I'm actually in Florida caring for my parents while having the ability to work remotely and I travel back to Charlotte because of how great Dr. Michael and the entire staff are. What an amazing experience! The entire staff is professional, kind and simply wonderful. They make you feel comfortable and welcome from the tome you step in to your appointment. Everyone from the front desk staff to the dentist are exceptional. The Dr. Davis Ligon is a true gem! He is the most talented dentis I have ever met, seen or visited. He is perfectionist, always strives for excellence and precision in his work. I can’t praise his work enough by saying he is a true Angel taking care of the teeth. I am highly recommending Dr. Ligon to everyone.

Guys are great as always. Friendly and professional.
The security could do with being brushed up.
Example. The appointment was for my children. The guards were refusing to let them enter. Saying children couldn't come it. Took 5 mins of back and forward to finally get them to contact the dentist to confirm the appointment was for them. Silly!!!

I am a long time patient at Family Dentistry at CIC - the staff have always been accommodating and friendly. I’ve seen many different hygienists here (if my go-to was not available) and have never had a bad experience. They’re flexible if I need to change an appointment or if I need to make one quickly. I had an issue with my lower permanent retainer coming undone and they got me in and fixed me up within a day of calling. 10/10 would recommend!

I am extremely surprised at the reviews I have seen on here about this office. I always have a WONDERFUL experience when I visit this dentist office. I have been going here for about 3 years now. The hygienist are all nice and my dentist Dr. Ligon is awesome. He has NEVER directed me wrong and he has always presented multiple options to me with regard to any recommendations or requirements. I get my cleanings every six months as recommended by the ADA. I would not be able to go any longer than that (not sure why anyone would). I will continue to go here so long as the staff remains and the doctor

I went to this dentist because it was time to finally see one. While the staff was pleasant it was a huge waste of time to sit in a chair for 2 hours to just take X-rays and nothing else. I needed a cleaning as I haven't had one in almost two years. I was told what's wrong with me and that my breath smelled and I had to interject (more than once) that I haven't seen a dentist since I moved and needed a CLEANING. TERRIBLE! I was told that I needed a "deep cleaning", 3 fillings and a root canal. I thought this seemed odd since I have never had a cavity before. I got a second opinion from my other dentist in Concord and they were totally wrong. All they want is your money. I did not need a deep cleaning or filling or root canal! Do not go to this practice!
