Maribeth is our cake decorator extraordinaire, practicing a lifelong passion for making beautifully designed and luscious to eat cakes. She's been creating amazing cakes for 39 years! She had the good fortune to meet her future husband Patrick while both were attending the famous Wilton School of Cake Decorating and Confectionery Art in Chicago.
Having learned much from this highly acclaimed school, she also acquired an immense amount of knowledge from her father-in-law Chris who started the original Chris' Bakery. Wedding cakes? I am out and about enjoying my Saturday and decided to stop in at my favorite local bakery, Chris' Bakery in Oak Harbor.
They always have a huge selection of pastries and they always taste WONDERFUL!
Today I selected a cream cheese frosted cinnamon roll. Mmmmm... so tasty.
They are all set for the Holiday season with a lot of seasonal offerings.
I saw Christmas cookies, fruited breads, holiday tins full of cookies, Rum Tortes, and other holiday offerings.
If you're in the area and looking for Christmas treats... you definitely need to shop at Chris' Bakery in Oak Harbor.

I when last minute a 24 hours before . Request a specific cake and they told me they got me . Next day it was just in time ready to pick up ! My daughter was so in love of her birthday cake . Thank you so much . I completely forgot to ask the name of the sweetest woman that took care of me and my request . She is amazing ! Thank you for always be so amazing and I will Keep coming back for my yearly celebrations .

Had the food before I found out about the bigot who owned it. Was pretty mediocre to be polite about it. Would never set foot in there again, they claim he doesn’t “own” the place yet he works there and collects money from the proceeds. I’ll spend my money where the baked goods are better. Sucks there is a good hotdog place that purchases their trash.

Glad to see them move into a better location since the old location was hidden away in an area that I'm sure didn't get as much traffic. They have a good variety of different pastries, breads, pies, etc. They have also seemed to expand their donut selection quite a bit, which is nice since the donut shop closed up a couple years ago, there really is not a good place to get donuts outside of a grocery store bakery. Definitely not the best donuts I've had, but definitely good when it comes to oak harbor/the island.

I love this bakery, the food(pastry's?) Lol are amazing, they also have sandwiches they look unconventional or maybe not and I'm just not cultured lol but it's all really good thou, my favorite doughnut from there is the sugar covered one my goodness, they are the first ones I've tasted that has a slight crisp/crunch kinda like shell, those are all to harsh of adjectives cause the doughnut isn't crunchy at all it's extremely soft it just has a coating on it that I've never tasted but I love! My family and I are loving coming in here regularly. The selection is really wonderful, ever evolving. It's fun to come in and let your eyes chose.
I've gotten things to drop off to friends & family we've been missing & they just bring joy!
Staff is great, coffee is too.
Very accommodating to requests. They even frosted & sprinkled donuts for my kids!

It's nice to have a real bakery in town. There is a drive thru. You enter it from the right side and it wraps around to the left. The almond croissants are the best. Their doughnut holes are good, but more of a cake doughnut consistency. I liked the cinnamon sugar as opposed to the just sugar ones. Good to share! They're chocolate chocolate chip cookies are also very good

I've loved everything about this place since moving here in 2017! The family is wonderful and so kind every time I've visited. You won't be disappointed with anything you buy! They make the BEST sugar cookies. My pups love getting their personal sized pup cakes. I stopped by their new location which has a drive thru, this makes life 100x easier getting treats! They serve donuts now and they are amazing. Their old fashioned donuts taste like everything I remember from my childhood! Support local and load up on goodies, you won't regret it!

The reason why: the owner is not an equal opportunity baker and has said in social media as well as in an interview with a local newspaper that he will refuse to make wedding cakes for everyone (even though they advertise wedding cakes for everyone) and intends to break the state's discrimination law. He is also known to be quite openly hostile to and about the homeless and needy in Oak Harbor.

Oh my gosh. The best bakery in Oak Harbor! This little gem has pies, cookies, and everything you want to eat! I literally had so many options that I couldn't choose. The lady behind the counter was so incredibly helpful and friendly!
I got a bear claw danish and my boyfriend got a chocolate cream horn. My friend got a Napoleon. We devoured it in seconds. It was heavenly! They also have drink options, a nice cup of tea with your pastries!
This is a great place for breakfast, and if you're craving something sweet. Tucked away in downtown Oak Harbor, this is definitely is must! I love

I put in a last minute birthday cake order (the day before I needed it). They were so accommodating and made us a white cake with strawberry filing, strawberry buttercream and lavender and mint colored flowers. It was a six-inch cake, which gave the four of us each two good-sized slices (because we had to save some for the following day). Often, you see people sort of pick at a cake or leave some of the frosting behind because it isn't that great. Not with this. We ate EVERY BITE. Delicious!!!!

Very nice little bakery. A real bakery. Quaint ambiance, friendly staff, tasty treats.
I also had a meat pie there this morning. The crust was so delicious and flaky. The filling was very tasty, very "oniony".
It looks like to me they make big sheet cakes there too for special occasions.
I recommend this place.
