I was quoted $650 for a 6 year old heater furnace board replacement. Also, I was told that the warranty would be 90 days and not 1 year. When I checked on ebay, I found that the exact board for my furnace listed at $40, ordered it and replaced it myself in less than 8 mins.
I did have to pay him $95 for the diagnostic visit though. The technician was polite, professional, courteous and accommodated my request of same day service even late at night, so no complaints there. The only complaint is of the extreme quote of $650 for a 10 minute board swap. If his quote would have been $250 to $300 I

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND the AZER company. Recently, we called and had Sam come out to repair our furnace. He was professional and his attention-to-detail was fantastic.
We are 77 and 76 years old, and we've been taken advantage several times, eek
However, Sam repaired our furnace quickly and efficiently. This was the BEST $95 we've ever spent. Our furnace is 48 years old, and we need to replace it soon; but Sam got us through this time.

My 18 year old Maytag oven stopped working a week before Thanksgiving. I priced new stoves and then called Azer repair as they have repaired the electric starters on this stove before. They took the information on the phone and set up an appointment for the following day. Mike came and assessed the situation and found that my ignition switch on the oven was no longer working and quoted me the cost for the part and repair of $310. Spoke with several appliance repair shops in the East Bay and was repeatedly told, "We don't repair microwaves!" YIKES!! I have a built-in unit and was looking at $$$ for a new microwave, trim kit, installation, etc. Then, I found Mike at Azer Appliance. Mike did a great job to fix our Samsung rf267abrs refrigerator.
Its defrost drain was clogged so that defrosted water stuck at underneath of the pantry rather than run down to the drip pan at the bottom.
Mike knows exactly the issue and it's root cause, which it makes sense to me. He ordered the parts and replaced them today.
We will see if defrosted water is still there or not in a week and will keep posted.

If you find water in your crisper drawers, or notice the refrigerator leaking water on the floor, it's likely due to a clogged defrost

5-star reviews are legit!! I called Azer to replace my Samsung cooktop, told me he had to special order it, would arrive in 5-7 business days, but only 1 day to do work, and...everything was done as he said, including transparent pricing.

Azer Appliance Repair provided very professional and reasonable service to repair my 14 year old GE dryer. Azer was very quick to respond and diagnose the problem. The belt had broken and my model required a specialize belt. Azer also carefully inspected the dryer and noticed several other minor things that needed to be replaced or repaired. It took about an hour to get the specialized belt and within a short time after he returned, the dryer was up and running perfectly. Old Furnace was not heating; read his reviews; paid his service call fee and we determined it the main valve was faulty in that it was letting the pilot light stay on constantly (vs. on demand) as well as open the valve to the main burners. We thought it might be the temperature sensor, but we determined that it was more cost effective to purchase and install a retrofit kit that came with a new valve, sensor, igniter and some additional hardware. It was not cheap and perhaps I could have found the kit for a lower price, but he installed it professionally and validated it was working in a timely

After we realized that our heating was not working, Azer replied to our calling quickly and was able to come to our house on the same day. As our heating unit is in attic, he had no qualm about going up there and was able to resolve it quickly. While he was here, we asked him to service the unit and he did promptly. We appreciate his responsiveness and attentiveness that resolved our problem.

In the last 2 years, Azer has fixed our dryer, advised us on our dishwasher (it cannot be repaired) and just recently fixed our oven. He is on time, honest, and thorough in his work. This last time, he brought his colleague Alex because the oven required two people. Alex was also on time and thorough. I would not hesitate to recommend Azer to anyone who needs appliance repairs.
