Call (301) 588-1318 to schedule your inspection. Our office is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 A.M. through 5:00 P.M. Inspections are conducted Monday through Friday mornings or afternoons. Most inspections take three to four hours to complete. We offer a convenient digital multi page report that includes embedded photographs of the areas of concern.
Partial inspections to diagnose specific problems are also available.

Sean Troxell has worked with investigators at the Montgomery County Office of Consumer Affairs; as well as, Montgomery County police and has provided expert witness services for clients in MD and DC. Mr. Grewell, in his time, was recognized as an Expert Witness for all aspects of both residential and commercial buildings and gave expert witness testimony in many courtrooms.
Ideally, we'd like to inspect your property-in-progress at three separate times during construction: Pre-backfill, Pre-drywall, and Final. It is not always possible to conduct all three inspections simply due to scheduling difficulties. The more notice you can give us of your needs, the better we are able to serve you.
Our most commonly requested inspection service is for a resale home. Older homes require a thorough inspection since many items begin to show wear and tear almost as soon as they are installed. Generally, the older the home, the longer it usually takes us to document its problems, however, some newer homes may have had numerous short-cuts taken during construction that will also require longer inspection/documentation periods.

As buyers purchasing our first home, we wanted to make sure we chose a good home inspector so we know what we were getting ourselves into. He has done 4 inspections for me in the past 5 years, so you can see my dataset is not thin. I'm also an engineer and very savvy at home renovations, so I'm capable of making an assessment. When you love what you do, it shows. Mr. Grewell isn't the friendliest inspector, but his knowledge and expertise more than make up for it. He is extremely thorough and knows houses inside and out. If there is something going on in the house, you will know about it. He inspected my house and I was so impressed I joined him. I am thrilled to be helping people make one of, if not the biggest, financial decisions of their life. The price of an inspection is a drop in the bucket when you think about it, and the ammunition you get from one, used correctly, can more than offset the nominal fee.

Any home buyer won't find a better home inspection company than JD Grewell & Associates(JDGAI), they are fantastic. We used them to inspect two homes we were considering for purchase.
