Guerin College Preparatory High School
Guerin College Preparatory High School was a Catholic, co-educational, and college preparatory high school serving the northwest side of Chicago and surrounding suburbs through the completion of the 2019-20 school year. The school is now permanently closed. Representatives of the Archdiocese of Chicago recently informed the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, that the developer who purchased the Guerin College Prep High School property will begin demolition as early as this week.
Services
Guerin Prep offered an environment that led to success. The curriculum was structured to meet the individual needs of students. Guerin Prep offered three academic programs of study for our students. The uniqueness of the curriculum was that students may take classes across the programs and benefit from a truly individualized approach to learning.
By the third week in June, the Registrar will be emailing all students an unofficial copy to have for their records since we are closing. She will also be mailing official transcripts to the schools of their choice for next year, high school, and college. There is no cost for transcripts provided for current students through the Guerin Prep Registrar.
For many reasons, most importantly the social, emotional, and educational well-being of our students, we strongly encourage families to allow all students to finish the school year here with their peers. There may be financial implications to transferring once a semester has already begun.

Official transcripts will not be released unless all financial obligations are fulfilled, the student's Chromebook (plus charger and case), all/any athletic equipment/uniforms, and student ID are returned to the Enrollment Office.Thank you for your cooperation.
Guerin College Preparatory High School sat on the campus of its founding schools, Holy Cross High School for boys and Mother Theodore Guerin High School for girls. The founding schools were opened in 1961 and 1962, respectively. The Brothers of Holy Cross and Sisters of Providence ran each school separately but with shared values and traditions.
Three academic programs of study overlay the entire student experience at Guerin Prep! Nolan Scholars Program, Providence Program, and Sullivan Program - all prepare our students for post-secondary education and offer a truly individualized approach to learning. We invite you to explore these programs in detail on their respective pages and under the Individualized Education page!

Visited the gym for an event. It was clean and comfortable as most high school gyms.
