It gives me great joy to welcome you to Fenwick High School, a Catholic college preparatory high school rooted in the Dominican pillars of prayer, study, community and preaching. We are sponsored by the Dominican Friars (Order of Preachers) from the Province of St. Albert the Great.
Our inspiration comes from the preaching of Saint Dominic, the teaching of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the leadership of Saint Catherine of Siena, the collaborative service of Saint Martin de Porres and Saint Rose of Lima, and the artistry of Blessed Fra Angelico.Since Fenwick's founding in 1929, we have equipped young people with the tools necessary for successful, meaningful and faith-filled lives.

Philanthropy is derived from the Greek words philos, meaning "love, " and anthropos, meaning "humankind." Quite literally, philanthropy means, "love of humankind." Its meaning seems almost laughably archaic or naive in our society today. Fenwick High School's mission, guided by Dominican Catholic values, is to inspire excellence and educate each student to lead, achieve and serve.
All applications to Fenwick High School should be made through the on-line system. Please do not send materials through mail or e-mail. Fenwick requests that you not call the administration about job applications. We attempt to carefully track all applications and will respond when an opportunity develops.
Since its founding in 1929, Fenwick, a Dominican Catholic college preparatory high school, has stood for the full and harmonious development of its students according to their capacity. Fenwick's philosophy of education is based on four concepts: the importance of the human person, the Catholic tradition, the Dominican heritage and the liberal arts curriculum.
The Metra/Burlington Northern train # 1224 will drop off at the Riverside station at approx.7:25am. I graduated from Fenwick 30 years ago and look back on my time at Fenwick with fondness. This institution took an unruly and ill-prepared child and transformed him into a competent and capable young adult. The rigorous academics prepared me to tackle the next tier of education at college.
Fenwick certainly is not for everyone. There are many rules and little tolerance for screwing around.

This school taught me a great life lesson and how to be successful, and I am very grateful. This is an amazing school and it has a lot of character. It was opened in 1929 and strived for excellence ever since. This school is truly amazing, the kids, teachers, and priests are very intelligent and kind. My kids graduated in '14 and they were extremely sad. The kids that graduated just last year came together to become one big class that is faithful and supporting to each other. The most I like about this school is the diversity. Most Catholic schools don't give you the chance to meet new
