This was a very nice, quiet stay in a log cabin-like experience with a wonderful deck overlooking the river; we saw eagles and even a kingfisher. The resort is located in the beautiful valley very near the entrances to the Great Smoky National Park. The room is very nice and the king-sized bed even has a quilt on it. The staff is very helpful and friendly; I spoke to everyone from the manager, to the evening manager, to the housekeeping staff. I very highly recommend this lodging to everyone! Townsend has a friendly, small-town feel, just like our Minnesota nice.

Amazing little gem. We discovered this wonderful motel in July when we were planning a mini vacation. We returned this weekend for our anniversary night. I told them when I made the reservation it was our anniversary on Sunday. Upon entering our room we were surprised by the staff. They had left us a beautiful card on the bed. We will not be staying anywhere else when we want to go on a getaway.
Wonderful place and equally wonderful staff. I love this place ❤

My family and I were only here to sleep over night and didn't get in until midnight, but what we experienced was great! Minimalist style rooms with a country setting. We didnt know there were blankets kept in the top drawers of the chest so the night was a bit chilly. Great place! The ladies at the front desk are really sweet.
