The property is decent enough and convenient to the main campus; the only major issue I (as a parent) have with this facility is that the Management is more concerned about finding ways to further rip off the students for so-called extra "Utility" add-on charges per month for a property that advertises itself as "Utility included"??
Worst part is even when the students are away for an entire month during the Christmas break, they STILL find a way to bill for additional "Utility charges" which is absolutely despicable!

My student org contacted the Harrison about hosting an event at their Clubhouse. To start, the staff we talked to were super helpful and available, not to mention the amenities of the Clubhouse they offered us to use. Further, the staff at the Harrison were incredibly friendly and answered all the questions we had, and were very enthusiastic about having us. Our event was awesome thanks to them, definitely a place to stay in touch with and rent from!

I really love the location and the amenities that come with living at The Harrison. The reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars is only because of the response time of maintenance. Overall, the office has been very responsive to any email or calls. The neighborhood feels very safe at night and I love living here.

I live in a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. Honestly the apartment itself is nice. I love that they allow pets. The mini dog park and lots of sidewalks around u park make this the perfect place to own a dog. I love my apartment and I love the area. But. There are a lot of hidden fees when first coming, and when renewing each year. Also utilities are “included” in rent, except they’re only included up to $30/mo. So anything over that you have to pay. So basically you’re still paying utilities each month. Also whenever contacting staff about issues pertaining to roommate disputes, account balance

This place is pretty snazzy! I like the communication, much better than Campus View. Plus if you’re a student, the gym (U-Park) is right next door. Nice amenities and everything. The only problem I got is how slow maintenance is sometimes, other than that, low rates, great parking, no deposit for yourself.

Living at the Harrison for two years now, it is a great off campus experience. As part of the Marching Royal Dukes and a Physics major, the commute to East Campus and Bridgeforth Stadium could not be easier. Great maintenance team, the friendliest office staff, and a great price on top of all that. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a safe, convenient, and affordable off campus living experience!!

I moved in this past August and my apartment was really nice. The price is incredibly affordable. The furnishing is good quality. Appliances are modern. The amenities are awesome. Most of all the staff is really nice and they go above and beyond to host events at the clubhouse for the enjoyment of the residents.

While the facility has well-groomed exteriors, Maintenance is poor. Last night was the third time in six months that the apartment had to be evacuated because of a Gas Leak from the Water Heater. My daughter had to go to the Emergency Room. If fundamental tenant safety is not a priority, then The Harrison should not be permitted to operate.

I wish I could give this place less than 1 star. I just got off the phone with the manager after seeing SEVERAL concerning COVID practices (management entering my apartment without masks, workers not wearing masks and coming within 6 feet of residents, gym spaces not limiting the number of residents and not spacing apart the equipment, etc.). The manager let me know that my demographic of college students "has a nearly 100% survival rate and does not need to worry." The manager also told me that what I had observed about his staff not wearing masks was not true. When he let me know that

This place seems great at first. You don't have to have your credit checked, and the apartments are pretty nice at first glance. When you walk in on your first day the apartments are completely dirty. Dust, spiders, all kinds of bugs - this is what you'll be greeted with. There's a ton of problems with a lot of the appliances and they'll mark it as completed - but it's like it's never fixed. The AC doesn't work - so if you do decide to live here make sure you invest in fans. (The AC doesn't work only in the summertime (which is when you need it most)).

This apartment is very much what you pay for. which is pretty dirt cheap for a 4 person. I pay around 435 a month- all utilities and full furnished. Although, the way these apartments are is disgusting. It rained and my whole ceiling became brown and it took them about a week to fix it. The apartment air vents were so dirty and disgusting. My roommate was missing her BED and closet door on the day of move in. They paint over tape that people leave jm the walls, I was chronically ill my spring semester and all my issues resolved as soon as i moved home during COVID-19. Furniture is nice. Rooms are

Of the three apartments I've lived in. The Harrison is the worse by far. Within a week of moving in the neighborhood was plagued by crime. I was in my apartment on a weekend night, and someone entered the front screaming and cursing. At first I thought it was one of my roommates being a college apartment. But the next day we discovered items went missing. It was at this moment I realized a thief robbed the apartment.
Also The Harrison is filled with the most deceptive staff. If they have an opportunity to take more money from you they will.
I left JMU and my apartment early in the winter

My son moved into the apartment and one of the roommates was experiencing breathing issues. Investigating the HVAC we found significant mold all through the system. Had an independent review by a professional and they stated this has been a long term issue. The apartment was given to these students with a known health issue. In looking around, we found several instances of the same issue. This borders on criminal behavior. Contacting the University and the state health department to make them aware. In providing this information to the management, they have slow rolled a real solution and handed

Moved my son in today. His apartment was FILTHY. One of the doors was busted off the door jam. Granted, they cleaned his bedroom up but ignored all the filth, busted jams and holes in walls elsewhere. We were promised one thing and got another. If I had the time I would have walked away. I'm disgusted.

I lived at University Fields during my senior year of college. The location was nice and the apartment was satisfactory. I am writing this review to warn any prospective residents of what may happen if you decide to live here. Upon moving out, University Fields will make sure to charge you for everything possible. We cleaned our entire house the week before we moved out and still got charged in the thousands. The charges were outrageous and we've heard about them doing this to other tenants as well. They were not helpful at all when we contacted them about why we got charged the amount we
