Dr. Michael Rubino, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, established Rubino Counseling Services in 1997 in order to provide people with high quality mental health treatment. The Rubino Family has dedicated their lives to helping people since they immigrated to this country from Italy in the early 1900's.
They noticed that many people were not treated fairly and the members of the Rubino family were taught that they had an obligation to give back to their community. This is a lesson Dr. Rubino learned and lives. He was educated by the Christian Brothers and took their motto "enter to learn, learn to serve" to heart.

I specialize in numerous issues but especially children and teens. I believe in working with my patients. When you come to my office you trust me with your life or your's child life and I take this trust very seriously, I want to work with you as a team so you feel comfortable to ask questions or make suggestions as needed.
We provide a variety of services to assist you. Our services are described below. If you have additional questions please call our office or email. Regarding payment, we accept cash, checks, credit cards and most insurance companies. We will be happy to bill your insurance and assist if a claim is denied.
Rubino worked with my son from the time he was eight through his teen years. He helped my soon survive some very hard things. He was very caring and nurturing, but also tough when needed! Dr. Rubino has also been a source of support and guidance for my husband and me as we have attempted to parent in difficult times!
Dr. Rubino is a very fine psychotherapist who has an excellent reputation for helping at risk families and children who have not been able to be helped by other clinicians. He is a master of the craft and science of psychotherapy. It is a pleasure to be his colleague. I unreservedly recommend him as a clinician and business partner.
Most teenagers do not want to come to therapy. Either they are embarassed or they feel that they can handle everything on their own. This is where your jobs as parents come in. If a teen is depressed, has been talking about suicide or you suspect drug use, they can not handle this on their own - they need treatment.

Dr. Rubino has been a true gift for our family. He knows kids and adolescents well and understands how to guide conversations for more successful familial relationships. He doesn’t stay away from tough topics. He addresses issues head on and is very positive and solution-oriented. I highly recommend him.
