We were in the process of moving out of our home, intending to sell it, and move into an apartment at Towpath Village when covid-19 caused a major shutdown of the entire nation. Our realtor felt certain that we would not be able to sell our house anytime soon as the California realty association had put severe restrictions on the way they would be allowed to sell homes. They would not be allowed to enter a home nor take potential buyers into homes. We made the decision to buy out our lease and not move to Towpath. The FPI management, who runs the complex was unwilling to show any leniency, and

We loved living there great location and amenities and neighbors. Until we moved out we left our place cleaner and in better condition then we received it and still did not get any deposit back. Totally blown away if you move in kiss your deposit good bye unless you repaint and replace the carpet. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!

The rental complex has good curb appeal and amenities but is very expensive ($3,200+/unit), its management by FPI is extremely poor (recent manager was fired due to incompetence and maintenance is inconsistent due to a revolving door of employees), the circa 1980's units were very poorly constructed (leaking roofs, drafty windows and doors, inadequate plumbing subject to backing up, original HVAC subject to breaking down, minimal insulation resulting in extremes of hot and cold depending on season, etc.) and the amenities are frequently unusable (hot tub and the single treadmill break down often

When we moved in on the first day,I found out there was a coin big paint drop off. I told the manager about it. She said I could send some one to paint it. I replied her that is at closet so it is no a big deal. She said if you said so but she didn't tell me that it was free when we stayed there and she would charge us $100 to paint a Coin big spot when we moved. The worst part is that she told my husband I agree to pay for it. That's not the truth.

Normal apartment environment for the most part. You will be grossly overcharged with cleaning/upkeep fees when you leave - we were there only 3 months, didn't as much as put a nail in a wall or place a wet shoe on a carpet, yet had close to $300 taken out of our security deposit. Absolutely ridiculous.
