Such an awesome hotel, the basement with the pool table and chairs is very nice, great place to hang out. The rooms are very comfortable with great beds, and the fireplaces and jetted tubs really make it !

The maintenance guy older. Seriously must be a bad existence i was filling a job application in front of the building knowing i am good with maintenance and night audit routines in the hotel industry, this man asked me what .... Business is it of mine what his job title was and asking me if I was writing a .... Book, then he succeeded in blocking me at both attempts to talk to a supervisor once by phone and again in person. I hope that you're able to handle this person because my relatives stayed there while visiting the family in Oregon here and they will not be back less this is handled respectfully

Amazing historic hotel right in the middle of Astoria. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was well above your standard “continental breakfast”.

We were scheduled to stay in October 2021. I called way in advance to cancel, August 24th, as the wedding I was scheduled to attend was canceled due to COVID 19. I have spoken with 4 different people at the hotel and since the staff who was working "doesn't recall" me canceling my two reservations, they charged me for one of them. I was basically robbed of 500+ dollars. Customer Service is NOT good and I do not recommend staying at this hotel for that reason. We will be back in October of 2022 and will NOT be staying here.

This hotel has a lot of charm and old fashioned character. The roof top patio has an amazing view you shouldn't miss if staying here. The staff were very helpful. And to top things off, the hotel is close to downtown. I hope to stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel in Astoria. It is in the old downtown area of the city. It’s a rustic hotel with lots of charm but well maintained.
Staff was friendly and helpful with dining and sight-seeing advice.
Parking lot next to the Hotel had plenty of room.
Great view of the ocean and city from the rooftop area. Enjoy a glass of wine and soak up the view.

This is a really neat hotel. We came here visiting for work and I called this place to reserve a couple rooms and boy am I glad I did. I was just looking for something close to the main area, really, within walking distance of all the great breweries and restaurants, and this was it. Great location for all the things. Now, this place is super unique as well. Each room is different and although you may not get all the typical amenities, there is just some fun and charm with being at this hotel. The roof top area is also super great to hang out at. The staff was also always super attentive, friendly

Just 5 stars for everything about this hotel. Staff was all super friendly and pleasant. 5 star breakfast variety. 5 star beds. Super cool rooms and building. Roof top area was super chill. It was also somehow the most quiet hotel ever. I never heard any other guests while we were there. Could be because I didn't see any other kids, our son was with us but he's almost 16. It seems like whatever renovations they did included some 5 star sound proofing. Really walkable area lots to explore too.

Just the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Definitely would come back.

Hotel is a nicely remodeled to historical period hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our room was extremely quiet snd the bed was very comfortable. Pandemic restrictions made things a bit awkward, not any fault of the hotel. The wine bar was closed and the included morning breakfast was served as a pick up and take to your room. I understand with the price range of this hotel that I would not be expecting a gourmet breakfast experience and the pandemic restrictions made providing a take to your room bagged meal a difficult proposition for the business. However, the choices offered

The Elliot is a beautiful hotel with modern luxury and tons of historic charm and character. The room we stayed in was beautiful and incredibly comfortable, with everything we could need. Not to mention there were beautiful views out of every window- the Astoria column, the downtown area, and all the way to the river! The staff are also incredibly friendly and accommodating.

We arrived at the hotel Elliott late around 10pm, after traveling all day we were exhausted and ready to rest. We parked right upfront and called to check on availability only to be told they have 2 NIGHT MINIMUM stay that is STRICTLY ENFORCED. It was the only hotel within the 30 miles radius that had rooms available.
One would think customers service and guest accommodation would be a higher priority than a simple rule as well as having having income for one night is better than nothing. We called the next day and spoke with a very unapologetic manager, we will never consider or recommend this

Beautiful historic hotel in Astoria with amazing service, awesome comfortable beds and super cute rooms.

We stayed in room 501, a jacuzzi suite, for a quick romantic getaway in February and the stay was amazing! Even during COVID the staff was super friendly, the hotel was immaculate and despite the local riff raff and rude fellow guests who think their immune to public health policy everyone on staff kept a positive attitude and was exceptional.

The beds really are awesome too!

Simply put, this is the best hotel in Oregon, maybe anywhere. What does a person really hope for in a hotel? While I'm sure it depends on the person, we all can agree, getting a good night's sleep is the most important thing we need. Only the Hotel Elliot tells a patron right in the elevator, "wonderful beds" and they mean it. We love the beds at the Elliot so much, we asked the clerk what mattresses they buy, and they actually have a card with the information printed on it for patrons! We bought the mattress, and we are grateful every night that we did. Also, the Elliot is

Ok I will preface this by saying we rolled into town during Covid and the hotel was just getting back on it's feet... Their Covid policies were well, confusing at best...

We got in at 1:45, clearly too early for check-in, but every single hotel in Oregon was able to accommodate our sometimes early arrival (we were on motorcycles and never new what the road would throw at us). We asked if we could check-in early.. No. We asked if we could then at least leave our gear there.. No. We asked if we could at least use the bathroom.. No.

Here's their reasoning... They can't let us into

Where do I start with this beautiful place!?
My husband and I had been on a roadtrip and decided to check out Astoria. We parked and started walking around to find good beer and a nice place to stay. We found a public parking area which happened to be next to this hotel. My husband and I are woodworkers, we truly enjoy historic places. This place is absolutely beautiful with historic charm and in walking distance of the breweries and restaurants! Our room was fabulous, we stayed in the junior suite which had a very comfortable queen bed, lovely fireplace, couch, incredible views, wonderful two

Stubbled by this beautiful hotel while looking for a restroom. While we were inside we noticed there was a little wine bar & of course had to get a glass of wine and enjoy the aesthetic of the hotel. Our bartender was this beautiful outgoing soul named Ingrid - her personality made the whole experience. Ingrid was so helpful with her navigations through the city and letting us know about all the best restaurants in town. Definitely would recommend this place if you're looking for a cozy place to get warm and figure out your next move in the city !

Bed bugs!!! So, we stayed in the Presidential Suite, which retails for about $650/night. The next day, my wife noticed that she has bites all over her legs. We run it by a doctor and they confirm it is bed bugs. We know you can get them from various places, but we eliminated all other possibilities and it was definitely this hotel. The reason for the low rating is because this hotel, after we notified them and they confirmed the issue, did not feel it appropriate to even offer a partial refund. How would you like to pay hundreds of dollars for a nights stay and come away with bed bugs, a doctors

I've stayed at this hotel twice and it is one of the better places in Astoria but it is lacking. Not only was the queen room over $300 after taxes, there were small annoyances with the room. For example, the coffee maker didn't work and the remote couldn't be used to advance channels. This latter issue was one the front desk said happens regularly because those buttons on the remotes are used so much. Really?! If you know it's a problem, buy better remotes.

The reason for two stars is because of the treatment we received after returning from our anniversary dinner.

I loved most things about this hotel: the location & walkability, the old time charm, the rooftop terrace, the nice breakfast and staff.

But there were a few downsides: there's no parking and there's time limits for street parking, which is not great if you plan to park and walk everywhere. The bed was so firm it hurt my back and hips, but I sleep on a tempurpedic at home. The air conditioning unit in our room was a portable unit and the hose came detached from the vent during the night causing the room to overheat.

Overall, the good outweighed the bad. The parking situation was

What an awesome discovery for us:

--wonderful beds (they mean it)
--quiet rooms
--heated, tiled bathroom floors
--rooftop garden, viewing and sitting areas, complete with glass walls for comfort and amazing views
--wine bar
--small fireplace in our room
--microwave/ refrigerator in our room
--beautiful, historic building
--friendly, efficient staff
--decent coffee / continental breakfast
--reasonable prices

We came to Astoria on whim and decided to stay the night in the heart of historic downtown. We had a blast, and I'm confident that we'll be back for more of this awesome hotel

I'd give this place negative stars if I could. Very discourteous front desk clerk. I really needed to use the bathroom as I had an emergency. I offered to buy a glass of wine so as to be polite and not just use their bathroom. She haughtily told me the wine bar was not open and to go use the public restroom down the street (which ended up being CLOSED for maintenance). Some guy joked that I could scrub the floors. I certainly hope he was not an employee. I've always wanted to check out this hotel and and stay. Not anymore...

Also, come to find out the wine bar is almost never open.

Cute hotel with a great location! We had a double queen bed suite for $189, not bad! It's right in the middle of downtown with tons of shops and restaurants to walk to. Nice comfy bed with fluffy pillows. We were lucky enough to be there on a sunny day so we ordered a bottle of wine from the front desk and headed up to relax on the rooftop garden. Great views! Went back up there around 9 at night to enjoy the gas fire pit but it was super dark up there, they need to add some string lights for sure. A quaint and historic building in downtown Astoria, the Hotel Elliott was fairly nice. It's a boutique hotel so it may not be as fancy as chain ones.

First of all, the location can not be beat. It's central to everything. Parking was confusing as I couldn't find information on their website prior to arrival. There's a public lot next to it that offers free all-day parking EXCEPT on Sundays because of the market. Street parking is available everywhere, but there is a 2-hour limit from 9 until 6. Doing a bit of quick math, you can park on the street from 4 in the evening until
