Genesis Program's has served Conejo Valley, CA residents seeking recovery since 2007. In those years we have seen a tremendous increase in drug abuse in the Thousand Oaks area, first with what was known as the "meth epidemic, " then the over-prescribing of opiate pain medications, and more recently in heroin addiction.

Genesis Programs Aftercare plays an active role in the support and encouragement of our current treatment participants, helping them learn one of the most challenging aspects of recovery-how to make the adequate lifestyle changes needed to support ongoing recovery. Many older adults who begin their recovery have become socially isolated and live a life of secrecy and shame.

As an outpatient addiction treatment program, we are dedicated to helping those seeking recovery from alcohol and other drug use.
In 2014 we admitted and treated 184 patients. 67% of survey respondents at 6 months post-discharge report continuous abstinence since completing the program. 90% of survey respondents at 6 months post-discharge report regular 12-Step attendance. 100% of survey respondents at 6 months post-discharge report no legal problems related to alcohol or other drugs since entering treatment.

I came here to get a substance abuse evaluation from Athena something.and I have been sober going on 8 years and have dealt with my sobriety my way cold turkey.well I paid $400 and met her and talked on the phone with her she didn't like my attitude and gave me a guarded review which screwed me for a whole year .mind you the state put me through the wringer as is but now they are using her judgement against me .also it was up to my discretion to send her review or not so she went and sent a copy herself
