Dr. Tim Kelly serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Hickory House Recovery and Hickory Recovery Network. He is one of the nation's leading practitioners of addiction medicine. Dr. Kelly graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1979 and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine.
Hickory House Recovery is a small, private residential treatment program serving adult men and women suffering from addiction complicated by co-occurring mental illness. We are located just outside of Indianapolis, in the Indiana countryside. We serve no more than 14 clients at a time, allowing our staff of empathetic, qualified professionals to create individualized treatment plans sensitive to the needs of each client.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an effective form of treatment for addiction, backed by scientific studies. It has been used successfully to treat mental health conditions and eating disorders. Those who suffer from addiction are often driven by destructive thought patterns. CBT is an evidence-based modality which encourages clients to question and examine their recurring thoughts.
Hickory House offers the latest in clinical practices for the treatment of addiction and co-occurring disorders. The Terre haute facility is a cold heartless place. If the patient has issues with treatment they take them and dump them at closest gas station. My daughter has begged for treatment 3 times and left to drink again because of alchohol need. No medication for sickness was administered.

Had a great experience. Excellent place and environment to learn. Great people great food. Everyone has time for you. Private rooms and plenty of one on one time with anyone you choose. A nice small facility. With less than 15 other people there, it gives you a place to feel comfortable and to be able to open up about anything. You will learn and grow. This place saved my life to say the least. The first day I walked in I was very fearful and anxious. As soon as I got back to the house everyone greeted me with warm hellos, smiles and waves, and it only get better from there. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you’re every need is met and you feel comfortable. What made me most at home was There was zero judgment, from the staff, residents, therapist or doctors. The facility is extremely clean, and the chefs are excellent at what they do! Honestly, it’s not about all of those things tho, it’s about the treatment they provide. And

The staff is absolutely amazing. By far the most important factor in the quality of a recovery center is the people who work there. From the techs to the therapists to the support staff and wellness instructors, EVERYONE that works at Hickory is great at their job and a great human being. I cannot recommend this facility highly enough for people who are ready to change their lives. I made lifelong connections and friendships there that give me hope and strength every day. I have no doubt my life was changed for the better by Hickory House.

I was at the location in Linton Indiana and I have never experienced such a family feeling in a rehab. Carol the admissions coordinator is awesome she goes out of her way to meet ur needs.. she brings u clothes if u dont have any... the staff does as well.. food is prepared daily.. no leftovers.. snacks are given.. beds are comfy.. I loved my experience there.. all the staff are awesome and they actually care.. it's not boring at all.. we have karaoke days and graduation every Friday they go out of their way to bri n.v g u in what u want for graduation.. and miss kathy is the sweetest lady there

Hickory House saved my life. When I finally accepted that I needed help in the form of an inpatient program I did a lot of research. When I looked into Hickory House I learned that it was a place where I wasn’t just a number (like most detox/treatment centers are). It was more attractive after speaking to past clients and finding out that the BHT’s, therapists, and other staff members are hyper focused on each client, but at the same time non-intrusive.
