Kentucky Basement Waterproofing Company Specializing in Basement Waterproofing, Sump Pump Repair and Installation, Foundation Wall Crack Repair, Leaky Floor Repair, Crawl Space Repair, Stucco Repair and Installation. The Basement Wizard is a locally owned and operated waterproofing concrete and foundation repair business since the 1930s specializing in "Making Your Water Problems Disappear!"
Basements with water problems that are left untreated can cause unnecessary home repairs and ultimately cost thousands of dollars to homeowners. If your basement continues to leak, over time the water can rot wooden studs that frame your house. Small leaky cracks will eventually become much bigger water problems causing major flooding and destroying not only your beautiful basement, but also your important valuables.
Crawlspaces, basements and finished living spaces below-ground can be at risk of flooding from groundwater, rain runoff, or drainage problems from fixtures. Flooding can severely damage your personal property or create an unlivable environment in your home as well as damage your home air quality with mold, mildew and wood rot.
Even though stucco is water-resistant, it's not waterproof. Stucco could get damaged due to the excess moisture in the structure and damaged areas could need repair. Areas with high moisture are vulnerable to structural damage and with prolonged exposure to high moisture, buildings could be damaged on the structural level.
Drainage systems are designed to control and prevent basement flooding during storms. Droughts and the natural movement of the ground along with freezing and thawing will cause space in between your foundation walls and the dirt on the outside of your foundation walls.

During heavy rain, this space around your home acts as a water retention "moat" causing the excess water to build up around your home's foundation which can eventually seep into your basement through foundation wall cracks and up through your basement floor.Water build-up can cause ongoing flooding of your basement during storms, resulting in extensive property damage.
