Great service, I was referred to CBHI and I'm very pleased with their customer service and professionalism. The scheduling process was easy and delightful to talk. Jim was diligent with his report and the results were very helpful. If you are buying a home in Colorado, I definitely recommend them for your home inspection.

Looking at a unique property in Evergreen, Jim was recommended to us; and I am very grateful for his expertise, detail, communication, and the results of it. Margariete's communication in advance was thorough and timely; always appreciated when buying a house (and more amidst the 'Covid complications'). Jim's report covered everything expected, and he found a few serious concerns we were unaware of. Jim took time afterwards to offer his professional opinion so we were clear on the level of concern on a few things he uncovered. Would absolutely recommend and hire again.

The absolute best in the state. We went through a number of homes and inspectors. We will never use anyone else! Jim and his team are a family business and couldn't have been more responsive, qualified, reliable, thorough, or invested in getting us complete, organized, and specific information to empower us to negotiate and be assured that our new home was safe and ready to live in with our family. As Midwest transplants, we were unusually impressed with Jim's trustworthiness and willingness to walk us through every step of the process and the inspection. Worth every penny!

Jim and Mike did an absolutely amazing job with our home inspection. The report provided to us included a thorough breakdown of every inspection item. They also provided great tips on how to maintain our home and fix issues that may arise in the future. Thank you Jim and Mike for all of your help and the knowledge you imparted on me during the home inspection.

We are under contract with our first home and Jim with CBHI was able to fit us into his schedule on a 1 day notice. I didn't really know what to expect with the inspection, but Jim was wonderful. He made me feel welcome to follow him and he informed me of different problems and answered all our questions. He didn't seem in a hurry or put out with our questions. I was blown away at the information given and the thoroughness of his work. Thank you, Jim! Margarit is also wonderful and helpful.

A stitch, in time, saves 9.
Jim did great job. His thorough review helped me get the seller to fix many of the complications, laundry including floor drain, sewer line belly, radon, and garage door.
Jim is patient, clear, dispassionate, and motivated. All the things you need in an inspector. I got some great advice that will extend over the life of my new home. His report is is worth every penny, and the price save me over 5K of headaches.
I am very pleased with the results and have to thank CBHI for a job well done.

Less than a month after moving into my home, my AC died two separate companies told me the same thing. the unit was severely damaged and basically held together by tape and glue ( jimmy rigged by previous owner) The home inspector is not a AC specialist, but if he could not see the unit was severely damaged....than maybe he should not Inspect AC units... both companies quoted me over $3500 to repair the damaged unit.... Never again will I use this inspector nor will I recommend them to anyone

Hi highly recommend NOT using this inspector, whether you are a buyer or a seller. They are not inspectors looking out for the home buyer. They are lawyers only looking out for themselves by writing down everything without actually inspecting or investigating further. Much needless and incorrect items showed up on there reports only to cover themselves from future litigation. I wouldn't doubt that they have a boiler plate template that they start from that includes every item in the house, just to cover themselves.
Here are examples of some of the needless, unnecessary and just plain wrong

When you're making what is likely to be the largest and most significant purchase in your life, you want to ensure you know what you're buying. The team at Colorado's Best Home Inspection, led by Jim Krum, is the most thorough and factual home inspection service I've ever used, and I've purchased homes in Missouri, Nebraska, Colorado and Florida.
CBHI isn't just for buyers, either. I strongly recommend sellers used CBHI before they put their house on the market so they know if there are any potentially show-stopping issues.
However, if you are a buyer, you

Great experience with CBHI!! Jim's wife is so friendly and is so great at explaining their service offerings! The inspection itself was so thorough and he did a great job at explaining things to us as he went through the house. This inspection actually convinced us to walk away from what appeared to be a great house but probably would have bankrupted us some day!!! I will definitely be using CBHI to inspect the next house I find too.

This is the 2nd time we have used CBHI for a home inspection. Last Friday, Jim and Mike arrived on time and ready to go. They took pictures of everything and took video for the sewer line. One of the best perks is that they gave us a whole booklet on how to really maintain your home (e.g., drainage, plumbing, etc.). It is extremely useful!
Jim and Mike really talk you through the inspection, describing in detail what is going on with the home. They are courteous, knowledgeable, and very professional. We received the preliminary report, which is pretty much the final report, less than 24

Where do I begin? Not only is Jim Krumm an expert in his field, but he is also super friendly and took time to explain issues as many times as I needed. My husband and I were recently looking for a new home to purchase, and we hired Jim twice to conduct inspections. After the first inspection, we decided not to purchase the home and we credit Jim for making us aware of the home's many expensive needed repairs. On the second home inspection, we felt confident that we were making a wise investment on a home that needed some repairs, but not too many for our budget.

I've worked with Jim for over 7 years as a plumbing inspector. This guy is always positive, on and detailed orientated. When Jim walks onto a property he's looking out for the client, he doesn't cut corners and he doesn't crash deals. Jim is an inspiration to his industry and a protector of the people.

Jim was very personable, thorough, and knowledgeable. The pre-inspection communication was great, and the communication during the inspection was even better. He allowed me to follow him around and was great with answering the 2 million questions I had as a first time home owner. I really appreciated his commitment to me as the buyer. I wanted an inspector that I felt had my best interests in mind, as opposed to wanting to keep the realtor happy in order to gain more business from them. He was one of the few that I researched that really seemed to be out there for the home buyer, and I could

I've bought and sold half a dozen homes since living in Denver, and worked with a number of inspectors, but now that I've used CBHI, I wouldn't recommend anyone else. Jim is absolutely the best.
He is a master inspector with decades of experience, he is dedicated to his job and to the integrity of the practice (and that's an understatement).
He wants you to understand your home, for better or worse. He is very thorough, you can ask him anything and he is happy to explain. Working with Jim is fun and incredibly informative. I always learn something new.

We've had inspections on two homes from CBHI. The first inspection revealed a slew of big hidden problems, and the second house was in pretty good shape.
But both inspections were extremely thorough, and the inspector has an encyclopedic knowledge of housing construction.
The first inspection saved us from moving into a house with a ton of problems (it sank the deal). The second inspection primarily taught us about the house and showed us some smaller things we need to fix. But the inspection was money well spent in both cases.
