The Cupcake Shoppe is a full service bakery specializing in gourmet cupcakes, custom cakes and specialty desserts. In the early years my daughter and I were featured on Food Networks Show Cupcake Wars and recently WON a competition on Food Networks show Big Time Bake! The Cake Studio is where we assemble and decorate custom orders.
In the near future we we provide classes for up and coming bakers and decorators as well as provide cupcake decorating birthday parties and events! We have a amazing team of 10 talented employees that work hard everyday to make our customers HAPPY AND SATISFIED!

This is an amazing place. I lived in the South Bay and would make the drive just to get cupcakes here. They have a great staff and seriously its crazy delicious. Happy to see the success of the little known secret of a business. I wish them tons of success and am hopeful that they open a location in Elk Grove, where I live now. Please.

I've tried alot of their cupcakes, peach cobbler, cake pop, apple, and more that they have to offer. I've also had them do 2 cakes for two different events. Their cupcakes are a little over priced. Their peach cobbler is OVERPRICED $7, and they put way too much sugar in it .The cake pops are also not that special and overly priced...I had them do a cake for my daughters birthday. A banana cake to be exact, it was frozen when I got it. Took a while to thaw the day of her birthday. Once thawed the cake was SUUUUPER dense. It was not good at all. I had a credit from pre-covid. I left messages inquiring, never got any call back. Walking to Sapporo, saw they were open, went in and used that credit. Cupcakes were great. Banana pudding even better.
Went back to order for a birthday again. Was directed to their website. Placed an order. Got a call back Thursday they didn't have all of the flavors I had picked available. Changed order.
Got a call Saturday, the pick up date, stating they wouldn't have all the flavors I had picked again. Got there to pick it up, the order was wrong. I figured it out before I left, they changed

This place does not disappoint. I've always liked all of their cupcakes I've tried. My favorite was the chocolate strawberry. The staff is professional and kind. The storefront looks inviting and clean. If you're looking for a fun cupcake experience, definitely visit this place. They also make custom cakes.

My boys swiped 2 of the cupcakes before I could even snap a photo! Such a great a variety of flavors. Very yummy! Not pictures were the Oreo cupcakes. Pictured are the Snickers, Drumstick, Lavender Honey and… Lemon Drop. Super friendly and helpful clerk. We got these to celebrate getting our 2nd vaccine shot and they did not disappoint!

We got the strawberry margarita, chocolate strawberry, churro cheesecake, and frosted banana cupcakes. We also got a lemon cheesecake and a brownie.
The strawberry margarita came with a dropper of alchohol, an interesting addition which I admittedly got out of curiosity. I'm not much of a drinker, so I enjoyed most of the cupcake without it, but did think it has an interesting profile as a result.
Injecting it into the cupcake a bit at a time would be best to avoid letting it get soggy, but a few drops on top, using a slight groove in the frosting does make the alchohol a bit more pronounced

Cupcake shoppe won on Food Network's, "Big Time Bake." I got to know about this place on Instagram and their Wednesday specials had me wanting to explore this confectionary establishment. I'm very loyal to Small Cakes in the East Bay. This place is distinct and here are my thoughts...
The cupcakes are pricy ($4) but JUMBO size. The icing is thick and the cupcake is a dense cake texture. The variety of flavors offered are creative and well thought out in construction. Meaning, there appears to be many details put into one cupcake. The s'mores cupcake had actual marshmallow

The first time I had cupcakes from this place, it was actually at a food truck event at my apartment complex. Their cupcakes were so yummy, but sadly, they never came back, so I went looking for them! I visited their store today and got the red velvet Oreo and strawberry shortcake to share.
The red velvet was everything you'd hope a red velvet cupcake would be--rich, decadent, and dense. And with the Oreo on top...omg. They also incorporate the Oreo into the frosting.
The strawberry shortcake was also yummy! Not as dense as the red velvet ordeo, but the shortcake topping and fresh strawberry

This place is so amazing. Aside from the cupcakes being the best I've EVER had, they are so artistic with everything. The cupcakes look beautiful, so pretty and cute. They vary in color and are always complemented with proper colors, ornaments and their trademark deliciousness.
I really, really recommend trying this place out if you want some cupcakes (or a single cupcake or just have a sweet tooth!!). I heard they've been on the Food Network or something too.

I've been eyeing The Cupcake Shoppe for a while now and really really wanted to have a great experience but I didn't. The only reason I'm leaving 2 stars is because the cupcakes we tried were actually pretty tasty.
We visited on the afternoon of 10/28 to pick up some cupcakes. It's a very small shop with only street parking, very well decorated from the street front. They had a hand sanitizer bottle outside so we used that before walking in.
We were the only customers there at the time, and the employee was on the phone taking down an order when we walked in. We were waiting

Cupcakes look so good! And yummy too. A lil too sweet for my taste but I am a plain kind of person. Love the mini cupcake too. And they have other treats like cake pops. And good price for yesterday's cupcakes.
Wish they use a different kind of packaging though. Looks too much like grocery store cupcakes in the plastic container.
