Started in 2008 as a means for a second income, Sofia decided to make a living from her passion. With culinary degrees and a love for making edible art, she first began baking cakes and pastries for her friends. That soon evolved into a demand which brought in more people curious and hungry for her pastries that aren't very well known in the states.
Now with the whole family on board, they go to farmers markets and wineries selling their locally well known goods while taking private orders whenever anybody pleases to have them. Their goal is to provide delicious art which will accompany the good memories you make at those special events that you will remember for a lifetime.

Services
Each Cake order is custom made. From Vanilla to Tres Leches to marble, you start with a base and choose from various fillings to complete the interior and exterior of the cake. Add the text and decorations of your choice and now you have an edible creation to warrant last longing memories for any event.
With culinary degrees and decades of experience, Sofia has turned her hobby and passion into purchasable edible art you know as cakes. With a choice of classic, well known, and completely original flavors along with custom finishes and decorations, these edible creations will help catalyze those important events and unforgettable moments.
Marshfellows are Sofia's own creation and can't be found anywhere else. These cute, handmade figurines are made out of nothing but marshmellows, icing, and fondant. They make perfect gifts for birthdays, baby showers, graduations, Valentine's Day, and many other occasions. There are more than a dozen of different marshfellows you can choose from and If custom work is needed than don't hesitate to contact us to help you bring your idea to life.

I went again and my review below still stands to be true! Not disappointed. I brought their peruvians cookies to a party and got a ton of positive feedback. Also while there I ordered their Passionfruit Mouse and OHH MY GOOOSSH! is all I can say! Hurry up and visit them now! HAHA

Absolutely delicious baked pastries and cookies. Loved the almond paste pastry and, of course, the cookies - everything we've purchased so far has been fresh and delicious and reasonably priced. Welcome to Vintage Hills!!

These are the best pastries! I have been buying from them for years, wether it's a pop up at Nordstrom or a local farmers market they always deliver on their A-game.
The Alfajores are out of this world, and I love buying the boxed sets as gifts because they are so unique and iconic.
The people operating the booth are always so friendly and helpful, it is always a delight to buy from them!

This is a bakery that has been a part of farmers markets in the area and particularly Pleasanton. Sofia is a pastry chef trained in Guadalajara and makes exquisite cakes and delicious cookies. One of the best ones is a cookie filled with guava. Strongly recommend supporting this new bakery shop in Pleasanton.

I'm so happy and excited for Passion Pastry to finally have a flagship store front!! They have been selling at farmers' markets but now you don't have to wait every weekend to get light and flaky alfajores, sweet and delicious linzer cookies, chocolatey-coconutty German brownies or their moist and gooey mariela cakes. Everything they bake is absolutely delicious! Everything is homemade! Totally scrumptious!

Loved their alfajores cookies. Cookie is buttery and flaky. Filling not overly sweet. At Christmas time I was in a pinch and needed a gift, I called them and they had 1 box left and I was able to purchase it from her house. Normally they sell at farmer's markets and I've seen them at Retzlaff's Winery a few times. Their other cookies are good too, but the alfajores are by far my favorite.

The alfajores are literally the best cookies I've ever had. They melt in your mouth, so buttery and the absolute perfect texture + the dulce de leche center is so good. You can tell they've taken the time to perfect every recipe. The Mexican wedding cookies are also delicious. Worth every penny, this bakery is amazinggg

Sofia made an amazing cake for my mothers 65th birthday party a few days before. She really came through at the last minute because I wasted my time chasing down other cake makers nearby. The cake was gorgeous and everyone raved about how delicious it was! Go with her suggestions, she is also very reasonably priced!

Had some of their Mexican Wedding Cookies and Alfajores at Sunday's Jack London Square farmer's market. The man running the stand is really friendly and generous with the samples. And I am glad he was, because it led me to buy a combo pack. It is now taking every ounce of my willpower to not eat every single one of them!
Seriously - check them out. They are delicious and fresh. They're also packaged so nicely that they can be brought to a dinner or party as a gift. And they are nice people who feel good to do business with. I will be back!

I tried Sofia's cakes for the first time this month as I was hosting a baby shower. I waited until the last minute and she was the only baker available. I requested a 2 tier dolce-de lece cake to feed 90 guests.
I must tell you the guests and I were blown away. The cake not more beautiful than I imagined it would be but it tasted incredible. It was moist, light, and full of flavor! I have a family full of chef's, one is a pastery chef for a 5star rest. in SF and even she was blown away by how good Sofia's cake was. I dont like cake and I had seconds.

-melt in your mouth cake-like confection, slight aftertaste. sodium bicarbonate? disodium phospate?.

-thought the other alfajores (argentine) was more natural. didn't remember the aftertaste.
