Marc and Susan Serrao started Oakmont Bakery in 1988, establishing themselves as the town's only full service retail bakery. They began with 1,200 square feet, 2 children and a big dream.
Since then, their space has dramatically expanded to over 12,500 square feet, making Oakmont Bakery one of the largest retail bakeries in America, their family has more than doubled, adding 3 more children, and their dream of owning a successful business that will serve Pittsburgh and its surrounding communities for generations to come has been realized.

The bakery has so much beautiful products. Cakes, cookies donuts, gorgeous loaves of all types of bread. They also do sandwiches. The customer service was also outstanding. This is a legendary bakery, with the customer base to match, so plan your trip: Order online, go during non-peak hours because parking limited. You will be rewarded with an amazing baked goods.

Love coming here for cakes and holiday treats! They get really busy during the holidays so definitely recommend ordering ahead of time or pulling a number right as you get there and then deciding what you want. The numbers go fairly quickly but can also take a while if you decide before you take one. They also have a cafe to order and pick up coffee, sandwiches and other items great for lunch.

This place is amazing! For Christmas I ordered a birthday cake, cookie tray and apple coffee cake. Everything was gorgeous and tasted fantastic. I picked my order up on Christmas Eve and the bakery was extremely busy, but exceptionally clean and well organized. I got through the line quickly and my order was ready even though I arrived early. My family and I will only order from Oakmont for all future holidays and events!

Wow!! Biggest bakery I think I've ever been too! Everyone was friendly inside and seemed to have a system down for efficiency including taking a number. First time visiting so me and my sister got breakfast she loved her breakfast sandwich, I thought my bacon and egg crepe was just too dry wasn't a fan. I ended up going back to ask for condiments I didn't realize I would need at first. I'd just order something else next time, tried numerous bakery items macaroons, cupcakes, cakes, bagel, rolls, donuts...just love the variety! Everything I ordered was good to excellent, my favorite

A sugar overload! We've never visited Oakmont since they moved to their new facility... and it is massive! We took a number and were nervous it was about 35 numbers away from being called. But there are so many staff members hustling that our wait was maybe 20 minutes. Love their italian cookie assortment and the mini Oakmonter's the best!

This is one of the most iconic bakeries in Pittsburgh for a good reason! The place is huge, there is lots of variety, and all the food is high quality. It's been a while since I went to the Oakmont Bakery, so I was definitely due for a visit. Today, I tried out the razzleberry bread, Everything bread, brownie, jelly filled donut, and custard eclair.
The brownie was a little small, but absolutely delicious. Super fudgey, sweet, creamy, and just perfect. Soo much better than the stuff at the grocery store. The custard eclair had a great chocolate top, which was nice and gooey. The custard cream

One of the best bakery around Pittsburgh area. Huge variety of bakery products. Fresh and crisp. Cakes are incredible. Very professional staff. Orders very well managed through coupons. Talk about a modern bakery with a system they should be proud of. You walk in and theres just way too many things to choose from. I walked my entire way around, making notes of which items I wanted. I took a number and then when they call your number, you tell them what you want.

First time here. Parking in front is busy. Their is another parking lot a couple places down. We walked inside and grabbed a number. It was very busy on a Monday afternoon. The time

We had a great experience here today. Considering it was a Monday morning around 9:30am, it was not too busy. There were parking spots available in the front of the store, but there is also additional parking around the side and back.
We ordered breakfast and coffee drinks at the touch screen menus. It only took about 5 minutes to come out after we paid and were given a buzzer. The sandwiches are very good and the coffee was evenly as tasty.
We grabbed a ticket to reserve our spot in line to order our baked goods. There is so much to choose from, it is hard to pick only what you came there for

Wow! First time visitor. I have had several items from Oakmont Bakery over the years that people have shared with me and always desired to visit. It’s not close at all to me, but I made a special trip to try out a variety of goodies.

Being from Canada this was in my top places to go and boy was it ever not a let down! We got breakfast (LOVED the healthy options available!) and coffee and also left with cookies. My husband's boss told us this was a must visit and he did not lead us wrong. We are from Chicago and have some excellent bakeries. This place is huge! We literally were like kids in a candy shop! I had a blueberry muffin which was phenomenal! We tried a vanilla cupcake which was light and just melted in your mouth. I brought home rye bread and banana nut bread. I expect it to be very good! I place to go to!

With Covid they only let in so many people because it gets very busy. They have an employee that is just there to keep table clean and flooring. You must wear mask to go inside.
I made my order online but also found some goodies while there. You take a number when coming in and the line moves very fast. There employees are very nice and very helpful too.
Once you try this place you will most definitely be back, Best Bakery ever!!

I've heard all of the raves and rants about Oakmont Bakery but had yet to make a trip out to try it.
I host a Mardi Gras dinner every year and the King Cake is the highlight. Usually I go to a smaller local bakery whose King Cake tastes straight out of New Orleans. Unfortunately, due to covid, they were unable to make it for the date I had selected. Oakmont was the one bakery I could find that did them.
First reservation I had was that it appeared they used thick icing on their king cakes which is not the traditional topping. But I figured, they're the only one I can get it from and
