LCHC helped me overcome my fears and anxieties. Amy's relaxed, non-judgmental approach to hypnosis was very successful. She customized therapy and CDs specific to me, that I continue to use, ensuring lasting results. I would recommend anyone looking into hypnotherapy to see Amy. She's easy to work with and definitely takes the time to understand what the key issues are, so that she can put a program together to effectively address them.
Services
Have you been feeling anxious, sad or unmotivated? Are you overeating or having trouble sleeping? Having relationship issues? We all have unique and personal ways of coping with stress and loss. But sometimes, despite our best efforts to get through tough times (and 2020/2021 definitely counts as tough times!) we need a little outside help.
While I am now offering in-person counseling sessions, I continue to offer exclusively virtual hypnotherapy. Here is how it works. Hypnotherapy has two parts: counseling and hypnosis. We do in-person/video/phone counseling first. After the session ends, I create your customized hypnosis recording. Please note that the hypnosis part of the session is not conducted in person or in "real time".
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) provide a quick and easy way to relieve pain, such as headaches and backaches, and other health issues. It also can help you overcome cravings, and release feelings of anger, depression, grief, guilt, and anxiety. The EFT program was developed by scientist Gary Craig in 1995 and is based on the work of psychologist Dr. Roger Callahan.
Amy Bernstein, LCSW, CH is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Hypnotherapist. She trained through the American Institute of Hypnosis and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the National Guild of Hypnotists. Amy has a BA in communication from NC State University and a BS in social work from UNC Greensboro.
I am doing very well. I rarely find myself overwhelmed with social anxiety (at gyms, restaurants, church, etc.) these days. And in those few times where I start to feel anxious or nervous, I'm very quick to start using the breathing technique (and if needed, some of the other techniques) that you introduced me to, and it definitely helps.

I worked with Amy several years ago and she is still making a big difference in my life.
