I like apartments but customer service is Really bad If you have something broken in your house you have to wait at least one month to fix it I have oven door blasted I complain Complain about blast door and they were keeps saying this can't be happening we never see happening in our career . what that mean I broke my own oven glass kindly u guys check on atleast Google that How oven door glass can blast due to some micro cracks in them first you guys provide bad quality products then something happen u blam renter that this cannot happen unless somebody broke it thats lucky that nobody hurt with

This place is a joke they don't care for nobody their are mice in my unit I told the management about I have mice in my house mind you I told them over again constantly then they send some guy to handle the problem over 5 months later he only put mice traps around my kitchen storage areas that didn't do nothing at all I'm so over this place please people don't waste your money paying rent here poor management skills

Don't be deceived because of the location. Oak Hills Apartments is not a good place.
Speaking directly from my household's experience, the property managers here are not responsive with tenant concerns. If they do respond, they are rude.
Please read reviews from others on Yelp. You might benefit from other places with lower rents, too.

If I could give zero stars I would . . You can't even do your own walk in they do it for you, so you will move into a dirty apartment with broken blinds microwave all walls dirty and the list just goes from the ceiling to the floor boards it's just disgusting no even to mention the hot water goes out constantly and they take weeks to come fix it . Over all I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy and that alone is saying a lot. Zero stars

€¢Only giving it 3 stars because it might have more cons than pros. I moved here last year. Probabbly mid August of 2019. The apartment I got had a broken screen door to the patio. Took them 2 days to get it fixed. Around that time Pittsburg was hitting anywhere from 80°-100° and our AC was broken. They fixed it 2-3 weeks later. There's only 1 guy who's here to fix things and his helper is new still.
• I got my car broken into because the gate wasn't closed on after hours. They couldn't even help me with video footage after I had a police case number.
• I believe we also pay for security

I have been living at this apartment complex for five years and it's awful! Do not rent here, as the place has a lot of crime, and the management team does nothing about that and other issues. We had a homeless person sleeping on our front porch and I had to call the police to get them off the front porch so I could go to work. So much for the security patrol in the complex. The mail boxes get broken into all the time.
We have placed numerous noise complaints against people partying, acting crazy, and or playing drums, and management does nothing about it. They say it's a police problem

My boyfriend and I have been here for almost 3 years with minimal to no issues. The environment is very clean and it's always so peaceful. If we do have any questions or run into any bumps the office has always been extremely helpful. Majority of the time we call the office Angelica answers and she is so sweet, always has such a positive attitude and makes sure all our questions are answered.

I have lived at oak hills apartments for 2 1/2 years, and although I think the prices are really high for the area I will say that my experience with the office and the maintenance staff has been nothing but a pleasure. of course your going to go through good times and bad times but that's everywhere. In my time living here I have had the pleasure of talking with Anjelica and Jessica which are the perfect models for what a good and friendly staff looks like! the girls here take customer service to a new level and they give that nice southern home feeling to there residents! what a great place

Extremely rude. Absolutely no customer service. Don't live here. My toilet leaked for about a month, literally mold on my towels. They didn't care someone came to fix it the first time and said nothing was wrong. There was still water EVERYWHERE. Gates broken half the time. Literally live anywhere else

Be ready for a flood of charges when you leave this place, they took away my rental deposit and charged a total of $800 just to paint 2 walls!! Unreal!

I’ve been living here for about a year almost and I’m definitely staying long term. Bart access is the best right across the street as well as a great shopping center with a lot of good flag ship stores. Office staff is sweet and they will make sure your needs are met. Like all apartment complexes they have urgent matter to attend to so it can take a little while to get non urgent items fixed. However when they do get to your non urgent items they come through in a major way. My apartments is beautiful with high vaulted ceilings, fire place, large patio with walk in storage, washer and dryer

Property is good, just pray that nothing major breaks down because no one will help you for weeks. Also forget about calling corporate office because they stay in meetings all day and they have no time to call you back. They have 1 person to fix everything and if that person is on leave then you are on your own.

Do not rent here. You will see all the cameras and you'll think... hey it must be safe here... its its not. People break into your car all the time and all they do is send a email to everyone reminding all the residents that the cameras are not for our safety its for the safety of their property. So yes it has security and a lot of cameras on property but both will not do anything for you. So you will be paying more money here for their safety not yours.
P.s. the second time my car got broke into and went to the office some guy overheard my conversation, waited out side to tell me his experience

We have been living at this apartment complex for about 3 years. They are nice people but parking isnt the best and the security needs improvement our cars were broken into 2 or 3 times even though we parked inside the gate. I like the office people but they do raise the prices extensively which is annoying. But it was a nice place to live in. But all apartments arent perfect but this place is better than most.

Don't be fooled by the security guard driving around because they are NOT there for the residents benefit. They are there to protect their buildings despite not fixing gate doors that don't lock or close all the way and big gaps in the fence.
They boast that there is all this guest parking and now they are too lazy to regulate it and everyone with extra cars are just parking in them all. No more guest parking thank you very much.

Steer far away from Oak Hills Apartment because once you decide to move out be ready for a flood of unnecessary charges and incompetent follow-through from the office staff and NO resident existing protocol!
After being a compliant resident for three years, nothing would compare to how I was treated by the office staff after putting in my notice. I called the office on mutual occasions with no response until I finally I had to send an email to their office manager, Jessica. Once she was informed, a resident exiting walk through was not provided (to go over the any damages and cleaning fees) INSTEAD

Pay no attention to the 5 star reviews here people. The Agent that people are saying was amazing is no longer here and asked people to leave great reviews for her to build her portfolio.
This place is okay if you are in a pinch and need somewhere fast. Otherwise save yourself the future frustrations and look elsewhere.
Definitely get the feel of living in the Burg here, even though it's gated. Bums throughout the day going through the trash, consistent vehicle break ins by busting windows (so many including my own that I figured it was just a part of everyday life here).

Shalicia Carlisle is by far the best leasing agent I have ever worked with at the Oak Hills Apartments. She is kind and through. From start to finish she made sure I was updated on changes and even went out of her way to offer an apartment that became available in a sooner time. I appreciate all that she did to make my move as smooth as possible. A great experience.

Stayed here for two years. The facilities are nice, however the property manager Jennifer thompson, is as unprofessional as they come. She lied about an ongoing dispute, only to backtrack her story. Jennifer is rude, and not personable. She was the only stain on a rather enjoyable experience at this property. I would tread very careful when dealing with this woman.

The apartment is really nice in side. Own working fire place with vaulted ceiling. The pools and gym are a nice addition too. They rules that don't ever get followed such as smoking in and around the apartment buildings.But people do it anyways. If your an asthmatic like me or you have breathing issues don't move here. But it nice to walk to the bart or the store on a sunny day.

Currently just moved in. Had a little bit of mix-up upon first moving in as our apartment was changed last minute due to a previous tenant going through an eviction process, BUT we got moved into an even better, bigger apartment for only a little bit of more $$$.
We decided this place due to the price and how close it is to BART. Previously, I was living in San Jose and the commute to Oakland was TERRIBLE. I can literally wake up and walk to BART and back. There use to be a really nice manager at this complex however for some reason she was transferred and the new manager is just plan and simple a rude person.. I've heard from other people that live here feel the same way and also the staff have said negative things about the manager running the complex as well..
My car like others has been vandalized and the manager there does not care and will not help you with anything that is needed to be done other than tell you to call the police and say good luck.
And also don't bother
