Took my friend from TX to try maine lobster and simple new england seafood. for appetizers, had the mussels, fried clams, fried calamari, clam chowder. perfectly done. all good. for entree, we had twin lobsters and baked stuffed lobsters. the baked stuffed lobsters were a little heavy for my friends, but still good. twin lobsters were perfectly steamed. really missed new england seafood

Excellent service. Tasty crab roll that was light on the mayo. Excellent sweet potato fries. Lovely view. It can get very noisy.

There was a bit of a wait, but that makes sense. It was busy as so many other places have closed for her season and no place has enough staff. Enjoyed a drink at out by the water. Once we were seated, service was prompt and friendly. We both enjoyed the lazy man's lobster which we delicious.

Nicole and I are looking forward to trying ( new to us), local spots after visiting this area for over a decade now.
Our first new restaurant is simply know as "Hobbs" to the locals...wonderful ambience and incredibly fresh seafood !!

I asked a local where to go to get seafood at a great price and I was directed to Lord's Harborside Restaurant. It was a good choice. The do very good business, as it stayed packed from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Large portions. deliciously prepared. They were kind enough to really cut open the lobster tails for my mother so she could eat them with ease. Nice gift shop inside.

Hobbs is a wonderful spot for great good in a wonderful seaside setting. Most tables have a good view of the Wells Harbor area that can be enjoyed while sipping a drink or savoring any one of their delicious menu choices. It's a great place for families of all ages, it has plenty of parking, handicapped accessible, and very easy to find.

Good vibe. Friendly staffs, my waiter is Mark, he works fast and responsive. Excellent, fresh food and the price is the most cheapo for lobsters platter I’ve ever had (compared to Boston, Cali and Virginia)!!! My order is Maine Shore Dinner with corn on the cob, french fries and a cup of (real) clam chowder and it goes really good with a glass of Atlantic Blubbery 🤤🤤🤤 Thank you for serving the quality food and services.

The food is consistent. Service was a bit slow.
I think it's lack of help right now.
No fault of the establishment. Rumor has it , it has been hard to find good help during Covid .
Hopefully things will get better for the restaurants.
But do not let that stop you. The food is great, and the place is very clean.

We had a wonderful experience here. Not sure how we have never come here before. The steamers were buttery and sweet. We both ordered the blackened scallop special over risotto. OMG to die for! Wayne our waiter was awesome.

Wife liked her lobster roll very much, and I concur (tasted a bit) - 4 stars for that.

My so-called crab roll was at BEST "suspect". The roll (bread) was very good, but I've been eating crab for most of my 60 years, and what was on that roll was NOT crab. I felt ripped off, but my wife was having such a great time that I kept my mouth shut and ate the fresh but utterly tasteless mass of what could have only been pollock, which was also a weird pink color. Not quite done with the meal. Strong drinks, great appetizers. Eager to see what they do with the rest... nice. Real nice. The lobster roll my son got was great. The baked stuffed lobster was great. My scallops a little over seasoned for me but I'm a minimalist.

Despite having to wait, we got in quite quickly. Nothing but friendly staff and excellent service. Food was exactly what we were hoping for. So good. A must if you are in Wells, Maine.

Terrible experience, from waiting outside being eaten alive by bugs to the meal we will never come back. My wife ordered the surf and turf well done and this is what came out. For $33 I expect a larger portion. The steak was burnt to an un edible level. The waitress was great in helping us but the rest of the staff when confronted didn’t seem to care and acted as if we should be grateful to get what we got. Don’t come here if you plan on getting a good meal for your money.

We went here a couple of weeks ago. The food was so great! I had the chicken scampi, the flavor was amazing! My daughter had the chicken cordon blue, she loved it! My sister had the haddock, she too was very pleased with her meal!! I would definitely recommend this place. Staff were great!

First off staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The building is beautiful and has pretty views. We got food to go as per usual. It’s only a 4 star because it was nothing special. Some of the green beans were great and some were uncooked, the mashed potato’s were half mashed and some parts were nearly whole potato’s. Now I like chunky potato’s but it was more than just some chunks. Lazy lobster was a little disappointing, the lobster itself was maybe a little over cooked as it was pretty tough, but lazy lobster is hard to come by these days so I’ll probably get it again. May 2, 2021-Excellent meal for our group of 9. We had to sit at adjoining tables, due to Covid, but we were close enough to share our 4 or 5 lovely lobsters, chowders, fish and chips, and lazy lobster. Every meal was served promptly and with cheerful friendly service from our waiter. I’m not certain if this is the same place that my hubby and I visited a number of years ago, but if it is, the food is just as delicious!

Best lobster and seafood platter my wife and I have ever had. My wife said the 3 pound lobster was cooked to perfection! It's 2 1/2 hours from where we live and we will be going back, well worth the trip! The Clam Chowder was awesome too, GREAT CHEAF!

The worst restaurant in Wells. Both of us sick from the food. All there was elderly intoxicated. The place is dirty, even the gentlemen wearing the black aprons were filthy. They should be shut down

Awesome food with great views. Although this was probably the rainiest, coldest Memorial weekend on record and this place was packed. Our party of 7 had a wait for our table for a while but that was to be expected. The food and service were both great. One of the best cooked pieces of swordfish I have eaten in a longer time. The tiramisu was delicious and light and the perfect end to a delicious meal. Of our party of 7 only one got a box to take anything home which should tell you all you need to know.

Bacon wrapped scallops were divine. Literally best ever. All the food was great. We had tried to call in an order but got no answer--part of our group went to order in-person and was told they don't do takeout after 6. The owner very kindly accommodated us.

My only feedback for improvement is that we attempted to call again on another night and didn't get an answer after a few tries to call and the voicemail or website does not say 6pm cutoff for takeout.

I'm going to start this one by saying "for the first time ever, I ate seaweed". Came with the coconut shrimp, which was really good. The atmosphere here was nice, no wait, the view was relaxing. Little pricey but it's summer in Maine so to be expected. I had a seafood platter which was phenomenal.

Ryan our server was pleasant and witty, so all in all good experience and well worth it

We had a nice dinner here with friends. They are doing a great job during covid to keep everything safe and clean.

We sat outside under a tent on a picnic table. The table and menus felt clean and they had a high chair available for our baby.

The service we got from Ryan was great. Very friendly and helpful with anything we needed or any questions. He was serving many tables at once and really did a great job.

The lobster spinach artichoke dip was insanely good.

Worth every penny! The food is delicious - flavorful, and the right price! All employees at Hobbs are kind, generous and knowledgeable of their product.

What a great place to have a spectacular dinner, drinks and a wonderful view. The view of the moon coming up is so special.

The staff at the bar was nice and peasant but our waiter Wayne from Maine (really from Ocho Rios, Jamaica). He was a real great waiter, Very knowledgeable and had great suggestions. The food was quick to come out but how delicious it was ! The chowder was full of clams and not potato!

The Shore Dinner was fantastic! Everything about it was perfect! It comes with clam chowder, corn, double mash potato, steamers and a lobster! Yum all for $37.

Last night's dinner was so late that we ended up today w/ a late, light lunch of peanut butter, bananas and English muffins at the apartment rather than going out. This meant we were hungry for dinner earlier tonight and drove over to Hobbs Harborside about 5:45. We walked in and, much to our surprise, were seated immediately at a 4 top a row in from the windows. It's a large restaurant w/ two dining rooms plus the bar. We were given menus and a basket of rolls and butter.
