Some of our earliest and most special memories as a family were made in York. Happy summer days at the beaches, hiking Mt. Agamenticus in the fall, walking the Marginal Way, ice cream and candy at The Goldenrod, visiting the Harvest Fest- these were just some of the things we loved about Maine--and still do to this very day, more than 30 years later.
For more than a century, the Sand and Surf in York, Maine has welcomed summer guests to a magnificent setting. This recently renovated turn-of-the-century home sits majestically above the ocean and offers spectacular views from both enclosed and open porches. The comfortable rooms, many with ocean or beach views, are quaintly appointed with charming antiques.
Sea View cottage - where memories are made. An ideal home to escape to and relax on the veranda or play croquet on the sprawling lawn. Recently remodeled, it offers the perfect blend of vintage charm and today's sought-after finishes and amenities. Four bedrooms, kitchen, living and dining room, and two full baths, all with enchanting views of the sparkling Atlantic Ocean.
The Carriage House at One Long Beach sits just a few yards away from Short Sands Beach and downtown York Beach. It offers close proximity to a sandy beach, quaint shops, ice cream vendors, restaurants, entertainment and more. This home features granite counter tops, tile and hardwood flooring throughout and central air conditioning.
This was an absolutely spectacular experience. The beautiful home, incredible setting, the views, the ability to walk to the beach and to town. We were amazed and delighted with the house. Thank you for providing the perfect setting for memories that will last a lifetime.
Can't decide which is best - early morning walks up to the Nubble Lighthouse, late afternoon with beer or wine and appetizers overlooking the water, watching the sun set over Short Sands beach.Then repeating it all. We had a great week and can't wait to come back. We hosted 23 of our family members who were here for a wedding and we wished we could have stayed longer - the accommodations and the location were PERFECT!
