Well it was my first time here and was greeted promptly by the receptionist. The shop was very clean and has a great selection of frames to choose from. The business sits in a nice quiet area across from the Post Office with ample parking. I was greeted by the Eye Doctor and who was very informative and allowed me to take my time to try on glasses, I didn't feel pressured or rushed at all. My appointment was short and to the point which was perfect for me bcse I was ditching work! Lol. I went for contacts but had a feeling I was going to leave with new glasses bcse I found a paid I truly liked

I’ve been coming here for 2 years now to see Dr Manning. I recently had to have surgery on my eyes making it much more time consuming getting the prescription right. She was very patient with me and I feel confident in my new prescption which is very different from the old one. Good selection of eyewear too. My husband has an appointment here next week!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I rarely even write reviews but this was so bad I had to share my experience. I had an appointment there for 9:30 this morning. From the second I walked through the door, the woman working at the desk was EXTREMELY RUDE and unwelcoming. She was confrontational about me “not providing them my insurance cards” prior to the appointment when I did in fact send them as an attachment in my original email to confirm my appointment. This was my first appointment with them so I was a new patient. She basically accused me of lying about not sending the cards prior even though

I've been seeing Dr. Manning for several years and have always been very pleased with the service at Eyehouse. Dr. Manning is professional, efficient, and very personable, and I appreciate that she always takes time to explain each step of the exam process along the way. I normally go to another dr but I wear gas permeable lenses and one of them had cracked. Unfortunately my normal dr was out and unavailable and I could not just refill it since the prescription I had expired. I decided to go to this location since I saw a friend that I knew who wore gas permeable lenses check in on face book.
One of the first things she asked was to see the glasses I was wearing and the single contact lens I had brought with me. She asked what my strength was and I just guessed. I stated "maybe a -9". I thought that was odd but didn't think anything of it

Dr Manning was very thorough and knowledgeable. Spent ample time with me. Place and equipment beautiful. My glasses are readers/computer with progressive lenses. I now have crystal clear and sharp sight for the first time, instead of wearing lousy readers. Great selection of glasses. Sent my husband in for contacts. Every time I put my glasses on I'm thrilled!!

This is based simply on my experience with the receptionist...I tried to schedule an appointment as a new patient and was asked by the receptionist to provide my insurance info (normal!) but then when I told her the name, she told me she didn't know what the larger provider over that smaller name was and that I needed to contact my insurance company and find out and let her know. If I'm not mistaken, that is likely something she gets paid to do. Poor customer service generally - when I ended up canceling my appointment, she didn't ask why, she just canceled and said goodbye. Disappointed

Great place to go!!! I was running out of contacts and needed a yearly checkup and Jennifer got me in within the hour! I also got a pair of Tory burch glasses at a decent price. They have tons of glasses to select from and Jenifer will sit down with you and let you know how much everything is with insurance. Great place!

Dr Jennifer Manning is very knowledgeable and has a knack for explaining complicated issues in a way that put me at ease. The front of the Eyehouse is plain in the shopping strip across from the Oaklawn Post Office. One you step inside you will be delighted with the selection of frames and all the top of the line optical equipment. I ended up here after not being able to get an appointment with a friend's doctor. I've never been treated so well or gotten my glasses in such a short period of time. I went to the Eye House on Friday 2/24/2017 for a full eye exam and on Monday 2/27, I couldn't see! I called the Dr. Jennifer Manning at 7am Tuesday to tell her and the "call dropped" but I called back immediately and left a voicemail but she never returned my call. I switched to my old contacts in the meantime. During my initial visit I ordered my contacts. They were delivered Friday 3/3. Dr. Manning still hadn't returned my call. I needed some glasses for driving at night and noticed Eyehouse took my VSP insurance. Dr. Manning gave me a thorough eye exam and help me select 5 pairs of glasses of different styles, colors, and price points.
The selection of frames is so well-curated that I had a hard time choosing one pair. So when my insurance renewed a couple of weeks ago, I went back to Dr. Manning for a second set. Both times, the frames arrived within a week

So I'm at a cigar lounge hanging out watching the game and I look at the flat screen about 25 feet away and I can't see ANYTHING, one of my buddies says "MAN YOU NEED GLASSES!" I proceed to cuss him out inside of my head and strolled out of the cigar lounge.
So my benefits just kicked at work and I went searching for a place close by where I could get a simple eye examination and picked Eyehouse randomly. Dr. Manning agreed to see me the same day and I found her location with no problem.

We really enjoyed our visit to Eye House. My husband and I were able to get an eye appointment at the same time and Dr. Manning actually did our appointments together, which was great as it saved a lot of time. We also got a Saturday appt, which was excellent as our jobs make it difficult to do weekday appts.
The selection on frames is pretty good, and Dr. Manning really took her time to help my husband settle on the right contact lenses for him. I felt very taken care of there and appreciated Dr. Manning's style. She was very patient and really understands the insurance packages.

Great small office in Oak Lawn! The office is very clean, modern, and professional. They have a great selection of frames as well. Dr. Manning was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything. She helped me pick out my frames which look great! I filled out the paperwork online which definitely saved time spent in the office - Dr. Manning already had my insurance benefits ready. I definitely recommend this office!

I visit Eye house and was impressed with knowledge and customer service I was provided. All brands is beautiful. Love Salt , which is so hard to fine anywhere , Etnia Barcelona and Modo , of course Ray Ben , Tory Burch, Dolcs& Cabbana.
They take mostly all insurances .
