With an office in Dallas, Eye Pieces is located inside the West Village in Uptown Dallas (between Malai Kitchen and Village Burger), on Thompson Street (between McKinney Ave. and Cole Avenue). Hoa Nguyen, O.D. received her bachelor's degree from Tulane University and her doctorate degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2006. Dr. Nguyen is currently licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and board certified as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.
Dr. Hoa Nguyen has training in treating ocular diseases, providing essential eye care for children, fitting specialty contact lenses and co-managing pediatrics, and low vision rehabilitation at Baylor in Houston.She is a member of the Dallas County Optometric Society and Tarrant County Optometric Society.

Dr. Vinita Chiranand is a native Texan, born and raised in Houston. After receiving her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Texas at Austin, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2013.
During her time at the University of Houston College of Optometry, Dr. Chiranand was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, and she was awarded clinical letters of excellence in the Pediatrics and Family Practice clinics.In addition, she was recognized for her grand rounds paper on acute angle closure glaucoma, which was selected to be published by the Institute of Optometric Practice.

Because we provide both medical and routine eye care, we accept a number of insurance plans to help cover the cost depending on your individual needs. If you do not see your plan listed here, please give us a call and we would be happy to assist you. Our staff is also always available to answer any questions regarding your benefits.
Do I need an appointment to come look at glasses? You do not need an appointment to look at glasses you can come in whenever it is convenient for you! What insurances do you take? We take a variety of medical and vision insurance plans including BCBS, UHC, Aetna, Cigna, VSP, Eyemed, Superior Vision, and Spectera.

Dr. Chris is an expert, he gives attention to detail, the most thorough exam I have ever had. He is a good listener and he is caring and kind. He was able to determine the cause of my eye disorder and I left feeling confident that his treatment plan will be a success. I was impressed that Dr. Chris indicated he would follow up on my visit to check on my progress, this is superb customer service. I called on Saturday and after hearing my panic, they made accommodations to their schedule to take me as an emergency.The staff are extremely thoughtful, they are kind, considerate and they know the business

I was very impressed with the service. I was a walk in customer and was seen within 5 minutes. The Dr answered all my questions and helped me decide what glasses would be best for me. The helpful young lady who was the office manager helped me pick out my frames and showed me a lot of different styles helping me with her opinion. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured and walked away completely satisfied with my experience and purchase.

To get me to write a review takes an extra level of excellence and this team truly deserves it. From the minute you enter, you can sense a truly healthy and happy culture. It’s friendly and open and totally customer-centric. Dr Gonzalez does not rush and takes time to explain the structure of the eye and how it functions. I have been going to Eye Pieces for several years now. Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Gonzalez are top notch professionals and very personable. The staff is wonderful. I mostly see Dr. Nguyen and work with Tom, but have always had great experiences no matter who is assisting me. My daughter, sister and brother-in-law are clients, too! Their selection of frames cannot be beat in quality and uniqueness. I cannot say enough good things.

This was my first time there for an eye exam and glasses purchase. I laughed with the staff like they were family. Phenomenal experience!!! I had always purchased glasses from visionworks and let me tell you…I feel like I was robbed all those years! I spent less for the first time and stayed well within my budget! I will be back!!! Was my first time here and I have to say the staff was really nice and they had a great attitude which speaks well about their customer service. Th person doing the imaging on my eyes was genuinely nice and friendly and knew what he was doing. The doctor (Chris) was attentive and described the procedures he was doing to check my eyes as well as their outcomes. Definitely will be back.

Dr. Jaime Gonzalez and his staff at Eye Pieces are AMAZING!! The staff was professional and courteous. They were also efficient and detail oriented in product knowledge and offered additional services. Eye Pieces was immaculate and practiced good hygiene when dealing with customers and the eye frames. Dr. Gonzalez definitely raised the bar and went above and beyond any other optometrist that I have seen. He explains what he is doing during your exam and why he is doing it.
