During a complete eye exam, your eye doctor will not only determine your prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses, but will also check your eyes for common eye diseases, assess how your eyes work together as a team and evaluate your eyes as an indicator of your overall health. A comprehensive eye exam includes a number of tests and procedures to examine and evaluate the health of your eyes and the quality of your vision.
According to experts, 80% of learning is visual, which means that if your child is having difficulty seeing clearly, his or her learning can be affected. This also goes for infants who develop and learn about the world around them through their sense of sight.
To ensure that your children have the visual resources they need to grow and develop normally, their eyes and vision should be checked by an eye doctor at certain stages of their development.According to the American Optometric Association (AOA) children should have their eyes examined by an eye doctor at 6 months, 3 years, at the start of school, and then at least every 2 years following.

Dry eye syndrome (DES) is a chronic condition that develops when your eyes do not produce and maintain enough tears to keep the eye's surface lubricated resulting in multiple symptoms that range from person to person. This can be due to a reduction in tear production or increased tear evaporation from a lack of lipid in the tears that stem from oil glands in the eyelids.

Dr. Smith, Jenny and his staff are the BEST! I’ve been going there yearly for several years and now both my son and daughter accompany me for their vision needs. We are highly pleased with our experience each time. Thankful to have Beltline Vision Clinic nearby and in our lives. We highly recommend Beltline Vision Clinic.

Very poor customer service, unpredictable charges. Changed doctors only because my son was getting contacts for the first time and this place is closer to his school but we will not be back. I got an exam because I thought it would only be a $20.00 copay, but instead it was $100.00 because of a fitting charge (have had the same script and same size contacts for 20 years) Needless to say, I feel ripped off. Steer clear.

Love Dr Smith and staff. Have been coming to him since I was in High School. I am a diabetic so he makes sure I am taken care of each year and reports regularly to my Diabetes Dr. He has a range of high end frames. My go to have always been Ray-Ban and he stocks up on them regularly. He is amazing. Nothing more I can say. His staff is very friendly and very accommodating as well.
