We can accommodate gluten free, vegetarian & vegan requests along with other dietary restrictions. Anthony Jacks has won awards for being the Best American Restaurant in Southington for over a decade. We use only the freshest ingredients and all of our meats and seafoods are cooked to perfection over our unique wood fired grill.

We had a lovely birthday celebration last night, Friday, October 16th at Anthony Jack's Wood Fired Grill.
Our waitress was Carol and she was outstanding!
We started with the eggplant appetizer which Carol recommended and this was a very large portion, and we all shared this.
We actually thought that the eggplant appetizer was the chicken since it was such a large portion.
We had the short rib entrée, salmon special, and the cranberry chicken.
We brought food home because we wanted to save room for dessert.

Great place. We stopped in around 4:30. Very popular I guess because They asked if we had reservations. Of course I didn't but they sat us anyway and said "hopefully our team keeps everything rolling out smoothly so that we can have the table by 6"
Their team sure was effecient and friendly. Our food was fantastic, the service was perfect and the cost was fair. Not to mention that we had our dinner and dessert and all made it out by 6:09!

Based on my experience I'd sadly rate Anthony Jacks a 0, but don't think that would be fair since I wasn't even given a full oppertunity to dine here.
Being in town, I looked forward to visiting Anthony Jacks on Sunday 7/25 after hearing many good things. I called 2 hours prior to ask if I needed a reservation & was told by the woman on the phone that it was fairly slow & shouldn't be necessary (even after mentioning that it was a party of 8). Upon walking in I was greeted by a nice young man who said he'd be able to take us but minded if we sat towards the back. I said not a problem. He asked

Under new management?. . . . This used to be my favorite restaurant - very disappointing tonight. Jumbo shrimp are 6 small shrimp on a skewer grilled to a crispy black. The garden salad was very small and the… creme brulee was not consistently prepared around the table. Mine was undercooked and thin - just not up to the signature perfection that I have come to enjoy at AJ's. The service was sub-standard. So sorry!

I had the BEST service at the bar at Anthony Jack's tonight. Not only was my food AMAZING (I HIGHLY recommend the roasted brussels with portobello mushrooms, with bacon maple syrup drizzle over polenta) but the… service was incredible. So attentive and a very strict adherence to covid safety practices. The food is five star at a one star price and the service is above and beyond. THIS is a place you need to try!!

This place is the best restaurant in Southington without question. My wife and I come here all the time and the service is top notch. They’ve messed up our order a couple of times but always make it right. Something as simple as a delay in a drink order netted us a free appetizer. Whether you are looking for a bar type of atmosphere or a casual dining setting, they have it all. If you’re in the dining room, you have a cool view of the kitchen while they’re making the food too. If you’re in town and want a solid night out, come here.
