My stupid little pooch got a 3inch twig stuck in her tiny little mouth!
I called Parktown and they immediately took us in. I had not visited Parktown before, but explained the situation. They took her to the back for a quick assessment while I dealt with the emergency paperwork.
The vet came out fairly quickly afterward and assured me that she will be juuuuussstttt fine. In fact, twigs stuck in dog's mouth is a common thing, so don't worry about it. But they will have to partially sedate her to get the twig out.
All this took less than 30 mins, including waking her up to make sure

We took our oldest cat who had been missing for awhile here. She looked really bad, we don't know where she had been or what may have happened to her. She was a feral but we loved her anyway. The news wasn't good and she had to be put down. They were so kind and caring to my sister (the main care giver of the feral cats) and the hard decision she had to make.

A huge thank you from the bottom of my heart to the wonderful staff at Parktown!
My boyfriend and I recently adopted our beautiful dog Ami from the Humane Society and we scheduled her "new patient" appointment for next month. However, she had a medical emergency and we were at a complete loss as to what was wrong and what to do next. Needless to say, we were freaking out. I called Parktown this morning explaining the situation and they were extremely kind enough to squeeze her in for an emergency appointment. We are very grateful that they accommodated us!

Parktown Vet was great to my pup Kona this week. We got there for our appt. and was well notified by the signs to park and call to check in, due to covid restrictions. When I called, the person at the front went over all the Info since it was our first visit there. When it was our time someone came out and got our pup to walk in. The vet then called me to go over his wellness check and to discuss any concerns I had. We got some shots out of the way as well. The staff (Elizabeth and team) were extremely friendly and helpful thru the process. You can tell they are true pet lovers and make you and

A long overdue review... We've been with Parktown for a few years now and they've exceeded my expectations when caring for my pet Rj. I've been to numerous vets prior to Parktown and none of them compare. Dr. Thur & Dr. Nakagawa along with their amazing staff.
During Covid- 19, many things has definitely changed, especially wait times. However, their care is still the same great quality Rj and I have experienced from the beginning.
I never feel pressured on any recommendations they give. Given the fact that Rj is a senior dog with ongoing health conditions, they accommodate

I have been coming here since 2016 and I live more than 15 miles away. I could go to 50 other clinics that are much closer but I come here knowing that I am going to get loving care for my two cats. The staff is so tuned in to the animals that come here, not to mention the respect they return to us humans.
With this pandemic so many business have been frantically working towards practices to keep their customers safe - Parktown has done an exceptional job, given the tough guidelines, to implement a process that ensures my safety without compromising compassionate care for my fur babies.

My boyfriend and I recently adopted a kitten from the Humane Society and needed to take him in for his first check up appointment and his first set of vaccines. We were referred to Parktown from the workers at the Humane Society and the Yelp reviews definitely reflect the quality of service they provide here!
Once you arrive and park in the designated spots, you call their main office number and provide them with your spot number. They then get some background info from you before sending someone to come get your pet. For the most part, it was contactless which I preferred due to COVID. The vet

My 11 week old kitten had a sore leg today from vaccines yesterday. I was concerned because she wasn’t her playful self, and she didn’t want anything to do with her food. When my other two cats were babies,… they never had a reaction like this to vaccines so I definitely grew concerned. I also wasn’t aware where they gave her shots because of COVID, we weren’t allowed to go in and actually see her during her exam. Her vet took such great care of her today and they were very kind to squeeze her in during their busy schedule while assuring me that this was normal. Thank

When the unfortunate time comes to put down an animal, a loved member of the family, it is always an emotional time for the pet owner. The staff at Parktown Veterinary Clinic could not have been more unprofessional, dispassionate, disorganized, or dishonest. The entire debacle could have been avoided if, 1) the veterinary technician had given my… cat a mild sedation in the beginning when I asked for sedation, 2) the technician had not lied to me about sedation not being necessary or protocol, 3) not lied to the Veterinarian about my cat’s actions, and/or 4) had any member show any
