Services
The services that we offer fall into distinct categories which are listed below. A brief services description follows. For more information, you might check the "FAQ's" link in our main menu, or call us directly to discuss a procedure or service. Audiological Evaluations- a complete Audiological examination is designed to evaluate the degree and type of hearing loss.
At Dr. Dominick Servedio Audiology a complete Audiological examination is designed to evaluate the degree and type of hearing loss. It begins with a thorough discussion of your medical and hearing history. Testing consists of pure tone testing, speech audiometry, Tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing and Otoacoustic emissions.
When a hearing aid is required, we provide the necessary audiological tests, the fitting of the instrument(s), and follow up. We believe that family support is an important aspect of successful adjustment to a hearing aid. For this reason, we encourange family involvement in the fitting process.

Please call us with any question concerning the fitting process, warranties and loss policies, the initial trial period (45 days), or any other question that you might be of concern to you.Dr. Servedio was interviewed about one of the many options for patients needing hearing aids. Please keep in mind, there are many excellent types of hearing aids and hearing aid manufacturers.
Testing will take approximately one hour. This test evaluates the vestibular (balance system) which is located in your inner ear. A problem in the balance system can cause abnormal eye movements called nystagmus. During the test you will be wearing goggles that will be recording these eye movements.
Musician's earplugs were designed to provide even sound reduction across frequency so that when you wear them, you hear all the music, but at a slightly reduced volume. The earpiece has a hollow cavity that is tuned to resonate at the same frequency as the average ear canal so that when you insert the Musician's earplugs you do not get that stuffed up "talking with my head in a barrel" effect that you get with solid earplugs.
