This is my 2nd year living at Proximity and I truly cannot wait for my lease to end. At first, it was great (convenient to campus, nice apartment, etc.). However, recently I have had nothing but problems. Starting on October 24th, the power in my apartment goes out at least once a week (it’s gone out three times this week) for varying lengths of time. The office has been well aware (as apparently it’s not just my apartment) but can’t seem to figure out what to do. Despite this, we are all still paying the full amount of our rent while essentially hoping we’ll have working power day to day

So I lived here for a year and while my living experience wasn't necessarily bad, I decided that I'll leave a review since they decided to charge me for "damages" after I moved out that I KNOW I didn't cause.
*(Just an fyi, you'll see it mentioned but the good reviews you see posted around move-in period are, for the most part, from residents who are promised some type of reward - was pizza for us iirc - in exchange for their review, so take them with a grain of salt.
It's also mentioned in quite a few reviews here, and I will agree that it is a decent place to live, and although quite expensive

Just wanted to share before anyone else wasted their money like I did. It seemed like a nice place to live and had great appeal. But that wasn’t the case. They never cleaned up the parking decks, hallways, or elevators. The gate was broken for months and cars had been broken into. The fire alarms were broken at one point and went off for an hour at 2 am. Then our door in the stairwell was always broken and never worked. Things in our apartment were broken and we were always calling maintenance who usually took forever to come. My room had things broken and I reported it but it was never fixed

Excellent service in the Office
So my daughter moved in to the Proximity at 10th apartment complex and I had to move her stuff in last Friday. From the office admin, Rachel, to the Property Manager, Marisa, to the Maintenance Man, Justin...each one of these individuals was incredibly helpful throughout my experience. Rachel set it off with such great and polite service greeting me in the office. Then Marisa was so helpful in calling in to maintenance for a dolly to help me with the many boxes I had to move. Finally, Justin brought the dolly right to me to use which made the move so much easier
