Buying a home comes with many expenses. I want my clients to receive a thorough home inspection at a fair price, regardless of whether they hire me or not. Ensure that the inspector you hire answers all of your questions during and well after the inspection. Ensure that the inspector you hire provides you with 100% effort and communicates with you throughout the inspection.
We strongly encourage our clients to attend the home inspection. This may be the last time you're in the house before the final walk through prior to closing. See and learn as much as possible. Bring a notebook. We encourage our clients to take notes, even though everything I mention during the home inspection will be in your report.
Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult and time consuming. Inspectors have varying qualifications, experience, equipment, reporting methods and pricing. Ultimately, a thorough home inspection boils down to the individual inspector's effort and communication skills. If I can't walk the roof, I'll use my drone to inspect your roof.

Thorough and thoughtful does not begin to describe Charles. He spent hours not only inspecting the home, but educating us about the equipment in the utility room, the details about taking care of the HVAC system, and finding the practical things that would help us to enjoy our new home more. Charles is a professional, but when he does his inspections he thinks like a parent, stepping into our shoes to protect us and our kids from issues down the road. Charles is an extremely thorough and experienced home inspector. His knowledge about all aspects of home construction, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, roofing, windows, floor, mold, moisture, etc is second to none. We had our future home inspected by Charles this past week. I was extremely impressed by Charles knowledge and the way he explains everything he's inspecting in great detail. Charles has extensive knowledge of building codes and makes sure everything in the house is up to code. Charles uses hi-tech equipment get a complete and accurate picture of the homes condition "things that can't be seen with the naked eye". With Charles as our top choice, he was willing and able to move around another appointment to fit us into his schedule. When I contacted Charles for inspection, I needed it to be done in a very short time window. Charles was so nice and willing to reschedule his other jobs to accommodate my request.
