It is with a joyful heart that we welcome you to Yoga/Meditation at the Ancient Spanish Monastery. We are blessed to hold our classes within these ancient walls that surround us. Each time we enter here, our deeper selves begin to sense de reverence, the magic, and mystery of this 883-year-old home to the monks who long ago lived here.

A gentle, kind, and loving peace is found here as we leave the concerns of the outer world for the serenity of the heart in this place of deep spirit. Allowing our hearts to experience the beautiful stillness here, we find our bodies and hearts in synchronization as we flow through the yoga poses. We embrace you into our special yoga family, knowing that you will come to love our practice from your heart as we do!
Services
Specially designed for your individual needs. Routines are designed to heal target areas, detox, and restore, guiding you back to optimum balance. Sessions may include Meditation, chanting, Kriya detox (breath work), fundamentals of yoga, asana practice, yogic philosophy, Ayurveda diet recommendations, and much more.

Borba Yoga is a way to Enlightenment. A way to find Peace and Harmony within you; it is rooted in ancient tradition, but is unique in its modern-day transformational journey on the path to a more joyous life--both on and off the yoga mat. Here there is no guru to follow, just follow your heart. Exercises using your breath to calm emotions and thoughts, bringing forward strength and positive qualities.
Meditation study shows changes associated with awareness, stress. Although the practice of meditation is associated with a sense of peacefulness and physical relaxation, practitioners have long claimed that meditation also provides cognitive and psychological benefits that persist throughout the day, says the study's senior author Sara Lazar, a Harvard Medical School instructor in psychology.
Yoga is considered a mind-body type of complementary and alternative medicine practice. Yoga brings together physical and mental disciplines to achieve peacefulness of body and mind, helping you relax and manage stress and anxiety. Traditional yoga philosophy requires that students adhere to this mission through behavior, diet and meditation.

Absolutely amazing. Not your regular yoga - it's 500 times better. Malva (the teacher) is amazing and the setting is breathtaking.
