Services
While most of our patients are referred to us by Physicians and Physical Therapists we will do an initial consultation if requested by a patient to see if we can improve their orthopedic condition. We take the time to evaluate all of our patients needs and to listen to their concerns. We will then coordinate our evaluation with that of the patient's physician and/or therapist.
Bay Orthopedic will accept your insurance whenever possible to avoid or minimize your out of pocket expenditures for orthotic and prosthetic services. Bay Orthopedic either directly or through its network affiliates mainly POMAC can accept virtually all insurance plans. The following is a partial list of those insurances that we can bill through.
Bay Orthopedic is one of the most experienced facilities of its kind in all of New York when it comes to injuries, conditions and diseases that manifest in feet. We have been designing and fabricating custom made shoes and foot orthotics for over 25 years. We make custom molded shoes, custom made shoes, sports foot orthotics, UCBL's, toe spacers, accomodative orthotics and diabetic orthotics.
In keeping with Bay Orthopedics tradition of researching and implementing the latest technology, we now offer the WalkAide Functional Electrical Stimulation Device. The WalkAide is a battery-operated, portable electrical stimulator, which activates the muscles needed to lift the foot. Conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Cerebral Palsy, incomplete spinal cord injuries and others are treatable with a WalkAide.
Often called "Pigeon Chest Deformity" Pectus Carinatum (PC) is caused when the sternum or breast bone is pushed outward. The forward protrusion of the sternum often causes pain during exercise or during times of increased respiratory effort. A dynamic chest compression orthosis (DCCO) can be prescribed for children up to age 16 years old.

This office is a bunch of crooks. They took my money and never billed my health insurance which left me owing other doctors money. When I called them about this discrepancy they actually hung up on me. I was between a rock and a hard place when going to them as my son had a fractured spine and they robbed me. They are disgraceful people and if I didn't have to give 1 star in order to leave this review I wouldn't have.

Terrible experience here. Called ahead, gave them all my information, scheduled and appointment, office was empty still took them 30 minutes to process me. I had a sprained ankle and was here for a boot. They made me walk all the way to the exam room to tell me my specific blue cross plan was not accepted here. I get it you don't have to take my plan, but why make me walk all the way to the exam room to tell me to go home? 0 consideration for my pain. Will make sure to stay away from here from now on.

If I could give less than 1 star I would! I was cleared to play sports with a brace Feb 17th. After coming here I was fitted and told the brace would be in after a week. A week goes by no call, so I call them. They don't have the brace because they need insurance pre approval. Instead of them calling my insurance company to get it approved I spent 40+ minutes every day doing their job and calling to get approved for a week to a week and a half. Finally I got approval and was told my brace would be in in a week. Now we are here 2 weeks later still no call. I call them and they tell me they

Went to this place to get some orthopedic work for my son which we had to pay for the orthopedic device upfront as they were going to submit it for health Insurance reimbursement after. So after they received the payment from our health insurance company they still do this date refuse to send us our reimbursement check because they state "the owner has to sign the reimbursement check". They've been sitting on this money for over 2 months and I guess the owner hasn't been around to sign any reimbursement checks as every time I call to follow up that's the story I hear. This
