Cho Dang Village is a family-owned Korean restaurant in the heart of Carrollton, Texas. We serve authentic, fresh, and traditional Korean food that will make you feel warm, satisfied, and definitely full. We specialize in sundubu-jjigae or soft tofu stew which is a jjigae in Korean cuisine. The dish is made with freshly curdled soft tofu, vegetables, sometimes mushrooms, onion, optional seafood, optional meat, and different types of sauces.
Sundubu is very delicious, hearty, and good for the soul.

This is the best spot in Dallas BY FAR for tofu soup. This may seem like a bold statement until you come and try it out. There's a reason this place is always busy. I also tried the seafood pancake and it was super good as well. Service is fast because they have to be since it's so busy. Cho Dang is one of my go-to's for this cold weather recently. It's a must-try!

I normally don't venture to this corner of the shopping area but glad I did! It is the last restaurant tucked in end of the Hmart area. We went during off hours so the restaurant wasn't super busy. Because we went in a group, we got to dine in one of the private rooms.
I heard this place was known for their soups so that was what we ordered. We ordered the tofu soup and one of the meat soups. The soups were good size and fun to share among a group. The seafood pancake was also a large good appetizer! They had tons of other food but this was more than enough food for us.
I look forward

[7/4/2021] Very friendly and superb value.
The first page soft tofu meal costs $12 per person. They are very tasty.
This place was packed on Sunday night.
The restaurant is at the back of the main h-mart area. So, this restaurant has to do many things right to pack itself this busy.
I am so glad this non Korean bbq buffet place doing great. I am tired of

My favorite soondooboo place!! This is our friend group’s go-to tofu soup place and the taste never fails! So much food for one person, always consistent and is always packed on weekends! Usually the service is great unless it’s really busy, you might have to wait and be patient for a bit. A must go-to place in dfw area

This place is tucked away by the Shabro Shabu Shabu towards the back of the H-Mart plaza in Carrollton. The sign is SO TINY, so it may be hard to miss. However, the restaurant is pretty sizable as opposed to its first impression when you drive by it. It feels very clean and they seem to upkeep the sanitation and cleanliness.
The menu boasts spicy tofu soup, noodles, and some meat dishes you typically get on the hot plate. My favorite part is DEFINITELY the banchan (side dishes) that go along with your meal. They were very fresh sides that go well with whatever you order on the menu. The only reason

BUSY. FAST. REASONABLY PRICED.
The place was very busy when I went. Although the food came out decently fast, I could not say the service was able to live up to the same standard. In fact, with however much people have hyped up about this place, I believe it was just alright. There wasn't anything that specifically stood out about the taste or place! HOWEVER, if you get the combo to share between two or more people, it is a SOLID BEST DEAL. They let you choose any tofu soup too.

My new favorite place to go for traditional Korean food. The service is fast, delicious, and satisfying. You leave so stuffed that you can barely walk.
Their seafood pancake is the biggest and most stuffed pancake I've had. Comes with shrimp, squid, oysters...
The Galbi is tender, juicy and laying on a bed of grilled onions!
We tried the namyoung (chilled buckwheat noodles). I thought the broth was flavorful and it was a refreshing dish. The kids thought it was too chewy and it all clumped together and was difficult to grab a small mouthful.
The most exciting thing was the spicy

I like to think of myself as a kalbi connoisseur and this has to be in my top 2. I can never decide which one is better but i strongly recommend to try it from here. Comes out on a bed of raw onion which is on top of a hot plate that by the time you start eating, the onions will start softening up. Perfect dish if you like beef. Comes with rice and a fried fish. And the side dishes are also delicious. The cucumber side dish is UNDEFEATED. The best thing to accompany the kalbi with. Could not recommended more.

This is now our favorite Korean restaurant in DFW. It's in the plaza with HMart but off to the side best the movie theater looking building.
Good tasting food and reasonably priced. It does get a little crowded so make sure to just prepared for a little wait
+ Seafood pancake: fantastic
+ Galbi Combo: soon tofu was great and galbib was spot on too. Comes with nice crispy rice and wide spread of banchan and croaker
+ Bibimbop: good

I've eaten here twice and both times, it was some of the best Korean food I've had in a long time. My wife and I tried the mushroom soondubu (tofu soup), ojingabokkeum (sautéed spicy squid), and the galbi/naengmyun combo.
First of all, the banchan and the small fish that are served with the dishes are all excellent. The kimchi is one of the better ones I've had in many years.
We asked for the galbi to be a bit more charred the second time around and it was perfectly prepared. My wife normally doesn't order the naengmyun but she really enjoyed the dish here. The noodles

First time here with family and it was really good! We made a reservation and got a nice private room with a service button. Service was fast despite them being busy!
The ojingeuhbokkeum could have had a little more squid, but the seasonings and flavor was on point!
The galbi was perfectly cooked and didn't have too much fat on it. If you get it with the combo they only give you about 6 pieces.
The naengmyun was really good! It came with apples and the noodles were the perfect texture. Very fresh for a summer day.
My favorite was the ddakgalbi. Perfectly cooked and the flavor was perfect

I can't believe I've walked by this place for this long before ever stepping inside. It's located near the very back of the H-Mart plaza, on the left of where Cafe Brown Sugar (TomTom) was. Between two people, we got....
Mixed Seafood Pancake ($14.95): One of the best pancakes I've had! Cho Dang doesn't play around - they loaded this with squid and it wasn't too oily like others have been. We devoured this! Seriously, it's amazing.
Two Combo Specials
Beef Bulgogi + Soy Bean Paste Tofu Soup ($16.95): This soup is EVERYTHING. It was my first time having Soy Bean

I've been here multiple times when I visit the Dallas area (I'm from Houston) and really enjoyed each experience. I usually get a soup/stew. They have a big menu and also can personalize your dish from mild to spicy. Their seafood pancake is also tasty and really fluffy. The waitresses are all kind. Some might not have the best English so it's helpful to have a native speaker with you, but their menu also has photos so you can point to what you want and it'll be fine.

Cho Dang Village, man. I'm not Korean and definitely don't consider myself an expert on Korean food, but this was still some of the best Korean food I've ever had. "But Jonathan, what made it so special?"
The mixed seafood and vegetable pancake was served on a SNAPPING, CRACKLING, POPPING cast iron. This gave it such a crispy, crunchy outer shell and a steamy interior. It was a pretty good size too, I was surprised at how big it was.
The soondobu was amazing too. They gave us so much tofu, meat, and seafood - such good value. This is probably what they're most known

Texas just survived a once in a lifetime ice storm and I needed something spicy and warm. I had heard good reviews from friends and I must say this soup was exactly what I needed. Excellent soup body, spicy, and very filling.
Would heartily recommend!
We also had the Bulgolgi which was good. But I must say that I will come back for the Tofu Soup!

I don't often get myself to an authentic Korean food establishment, but when I do I usually leave happy. That was the case with Cho Dang Village. The reason for that happiness was the hot bibimpap and fried fish (free side!). My only complaint was the limited meat in the pot. I tried the cold bibimpap as well, and it was good, but not quite on the same level. Sides were plentiful and flavorful. Staff was prompt and friendly. Plus they have private rooms for your party. What more could you ask for?

Cho Dang Village is among the top three best Korean restaurants I've ever been to. I've been to Carrollton numerous times, but I'd never seen this place until my Coppell friends recommended it to me. It's hidden away on the outskirts of K-Town, but I'm so glad that I went to give it a try.
Right off the bat, you can tell it's an extremely authentic Korean restaurant. I've never been to one in Texas that does the barley tea and rice porridge after you've finished your meal. Their rice is incredible. I can't put into words what makes it so good, but
