Jonquils Cafe & Bakery
We are stylish, theatrical, & artisan while grounded in our commitments to fresh ingredients, bold flavors and warm-hearted hospitality. Come visit for a while. At the heart of the cafe experience is the Spirit - a rare, multiple espresso boiler machine from Kees van der Westen, renowned for brewing flavorful and aromatic espressos.

Additionally, we offer pour over coffees using Poursteady technology, a full loose leaf tea program from Rishi and Flora Teas brewed in a BKON, and artisanal hot chocolates. Our Brand Pastry Chef, Dinara Kasko, has a style all her own. Jonquils Cafe & Bakery is proud to house her eclectic & beautiful creations at our Newbury St. location.
Services
Like the flower from which we derive our name - a flower which spans countries and cultures - Jonquils is a cosmopolitan cafe with that touches all parts of the globe. Our bright, modern space (with a couple of old-world flourishes) is an oasis on bustling Newbury Street - though it could be just as at-home in London's Mayfair or on the Champs E lysees.

I love the atmosphere at Jonquils. It is so pretty, bright and aesthetic. The quality of cakes, coffees and teas is the highest in Boston! Treat yourself to one of their artisan cakes, it is worth every penny! They taste as delicious as they look. ❤️😋😋😋😋

Came around noon on a Saturday, not super crowded but only a few seats available. Still many pastries left though.

Exotic Spheres: nice passion fruit and mango flavor! My favorite part was the crunchy section at the bottom.

Matcha rose latte: not that sweet, and can definitely taste more of the rose syrup towards the bottom.

It's pretty expensive, almost $10 for a pastry and $5-7 for drinks. I think you are paying for the experience mainly, so it's a nice treat but not somewhere I'd go to regularly. Will be back to try the honey pear white dome.

Delicious and adorable place! The Spanish Latte was amazing and the desserts are unbelievable. Highly recommend the mango/passion fruit yellow spherical cube masterpiece if you’re looking for a refreshing dessert. The others are also amazing! Will be going back until I finally try them all!

Was here for morning coffee, and their cakes are amazing: not too sweet, delicate flavors, and dynamic textures. I think the price is pretty fair for the quality that goes into their products. Their coffee is great too. This place always sells out at the end of the day \(T.T)/ so maybe come before the afternoon or call in

Wow, dessert like art!!

We came here to try the Exotique Spheres, but they were sold out :( Definitely come early! Since we were here, we decided to try Apple Caramel. First bite, wow! The Apple Caramel was perfectly sweet, soft on the outside, filled with light cream cheese and layered with caramel, chocolate and an apple puree. At first, I was hesitant about the cream cheese, but the cream cheese did not overpower the dessert. It was a perfect balance of sweet and savory. Burst of delicious flavors all in one bite.

Amazing!

Staff was very friendly. They let us bring our dog in as long as

Jonquils is a playful patisserie that serves flower blooming teas and 3D desserts. The desserts are created with great care and attention to detail. The presentation and taste were both perfect. I ordered the cappuccino and honey pear. Both were decadent and delightful. I love that these desserts are subtly sweet. If you want to try one of the cakes, then be sure you arrive early in the day or afternoon. The treats are made each day in a limited quantity to prevent waste and sell out quickly. The sales representatives are always cordial and attentive. In regards to commuting, you can easily take

Incredible and not just a pretty picture! The coffee was amazing too. The exotic spheres was were delicious. White pear pastry also fantastic. Considering a cupcake at Georgetown Cupcake is $4, I consider this place a deal for the quality of pastry. Go here

Visiting Boston? Y'all have to make a stop at this bakery! The desserts and treats are insanely beautiful and very unique! I mean just look!!! We got an order of the Mango/Passionfruit Exotique Sphere and a Pink Flamingo specialty drink. The sphere was light and fluffy which was a pleasant surprise. And the fruity taste wasn't too overpowering. And the drink? So refreshing! The combo of lychee & guava was elite.

Love the desserts and coffee!!! Ordered a leaf looking like cake called cappuccino, and a chocolate with caramel cake, also a rose latte. They're all delicious and very pretty. Definitely insta worthy!!!
If you want to bring your pet, make sure they're in the bag!!! We asked if we can bring our little Mochi into the store, and told them he'll stay in the bag the whole entire time. The manager is very nice and told us as long as he's in the bag, it's fine. Loved the place and the desserts!!!

Loved their desserts! They all look incredibly cute and are definitely instagram worthy lol. In addition to the cute looks, they all tastes great. The one I got and the one my friend got both were not too sweet and had depth of flavors.
The only tiny problem with this place is the size of the store. It's a bit too small for a place as popular as this. There were not enough seatings and it was kind of loud inside. I wouldn't say this is exactly the best place to sit down and enjoy desserts & coffee.

They have a beautiful array of floral and aromatic teas as well as cute 3D desserts that look like works of art but you can eat them!! The staff was very friendly which its always nice to meet kind hearted people. I will definitely be back again soon.
Cheers!

Instagram-able: 100000 points

The colors and geometric design of the desserts are SPECIAL! Very pretty, very creative. The taste is not bad but nothing crazy either. I went with an expectation that the design would surpass the taste for the food and I would say it lived up. For the apple, the outside mousse is very soft but doesn't really taste like anything. The chocolate and apple center presents a nice mix of sweet and rich.

The staff are friendly and good at persuading you to try the food. Vibe of the place is very modern, chic. Again- very Instagram. 5 stars based on the aesthetic

I came across their page on instagram when I was in Boston. Their desserts looked fascinating.
I visited the place a little late in the evening so all their desserts were sold out expect for their pentagon cake. I was lucky to get my hands on it.
It was excellent I am not big on desserts but I absolutely loved it. The coffee and tea tasted good as well. I would love to go back and try their spread of pastries and desserts. The place is extremely pretty and instagram pic worthy.

If you ever wonder if a cheesecake could look like a Granny Smith apple, the answer is now YES!

We were on our trip in Boston and were introduced to Jonquils by a local friend. I was so excited to see the cheesecakes that were made into so many different shapes and colors. And I have to be honest I had a doubt that wether it would actually taste as good as it looks. But -- it turned out that it tasted great!!! I had the apple caramel and the cappuccino ones, they were both delicious. The cheesecakes also had fillings which made it even flavorful when you took the bite. Though it is a bit pricey

This is the cutest little place with the coolest desserts I've ever eaten! We loved it so much that we came back twice in the same day while we were visiting Boston! Haha.

The owner makes 3D printed molds for her desserts, and they're decorated so beautifully! The attention to detail is remarkable. It's so fun to eat something that looks as cool as these do!
We tried the chocolate (pink), pear (yellow sphere), and passionfruit mango (yellow sphere cube). They were all incredibly unique and delicious. Inside there are layers of cake, mousse, and fruit. The textures are spot on

Jonquils is like no other bakery I’ve experienced. It is a destination worth planning your day around. The bakery items are pieces of art and then they taste AMAZING! My mom had the mocha cappuccino and loved it. I had one of the flowering teas and enjoyed it… but the desserts are the biggest treat of all. Who knew something this beautiful could be equally as delicious.

Wow, what an experience that cannot be missed. Such a unique bakery, albeit expensive! This lil dessert was $9.25 but it was absolutely delicious. I think the ingredients listed pear, hazelnut, etc and was such a unique combo with a light cream.

We got one of the flower teas as well - watching it bloom was very sweet and entertaining. This place is a must try and put me in such a great mood after.

The inside is very cute and clean as well, so perfect for a lil friend date!

This was a really cool bakery. All the pastries are hand crafted. My friend and I got there around 1:30pm on a Monday and they were almost all out of their pastries so I would recommend going early.

My friend got two of the pastries. One was pear flavored and the other was the geometric square. I had the Origami one. They were all so good, soft, and had a great filling.

My friend had the lavender iced coffee and I had the blueberry iced tea. Both were interesting but I would have again.

First time at Jonquils and it was a wonderful experience. Cafe itself has such an aesthetic appearance and I also tried to capture this beautiful geometrical dessert with a camera. It looks so much better in real life though. We tried Origami and Caramel Apple. Both tasted amazing together with Lavender Latte.
100% recommend and will come back to try new desserts.

Visiting Boston and was so glad to finally check out this dessert spot that I've been seeing on social media!

We got the Exotique Spheres and the Apple Caramel. Both were super delicious. The interior of the Exotique Spheres tasted like mango and passion fruit while the inside of the Apple Caramel kind of taste like apple pie. Pretty sure you can't go wrong with any of the dessert items since they are all super artsy and delicious.

The indoor seatings at this spot were also really gorgeous. Can't wait to come back and try the other dessert items next time!

I recently visited Jonquils for a friend’s birthday and we were amazed by cute the cafe was! They had tons of great food and drink options and some really unique offerings. Their desserts were all very beautiful-almost too pretty to eat. I got a matcha rose latte and a little pineapple coconut chocolate treat and both were very good. Staff was also very helpful as we had someone with a cinnamon allergy in our party. I would def recommend if you want to visit a very aesthetic place with some interesting and tasty choices.

Everything about this place screams esthetics and elegance! You have to see it to experience it beauty. Their pasties are so perfect it literally looks like a it was taken out of a cartoon or something. The interior is gorgeous and they have an extension downstairs for more spots to chill.

We tried the caramel apple and honey pear and they were right up my alley. I like how it wasn't overly sweet and the texture was so soft and light. The flower on top of the honey pear did not seem edible though.

Will be back to try out their other pastries when I am back in the Boston area, maybe to
