Illesteva is an independently owned eyewear brand with roots in Downtown New York and production in Italy and France. Before Illesteva launched in 2010, options for designer eyewear at a fair price point were few and far between. A handful of companies control most of the eyewear industry, often forcing brands to prioritize either stylish design or premium craftsmanship.

10/10 customer service! Not only are these sunglasses incredible, their staff is even better. I spoke with Scott earlier about a pair of sunglasses I was looking for and he searched the data base to track them down for me within minutes! He was so kind and professional. The two guys working at this location (I believe one is the manager) are SO INSANELY RUDE AT ALL TIMES. I've never experienced something so off-putting. Each time I've visited this Illesteva location (3x now within past 6 weeks), I'm treated like a trespasser. As if me being in the store is SUCH a hassle for these dudes. There's 0 greeting upon entering the store...no asking how they can help... and then when you god forbid ask a question, you're thrown back short and VERY snarky answers. Between your Nolita (NYC) store and Grove location I've purchased over 10 pairs

Let me just start by saying that Illesteva's customer service - in store as well as online - is bar none. Simply put, I drove 40 minutes each way from Sherman Oaks because of Tamzen. After speaking with someone through social media, Tamzen reached out to me directly via email and after a few very pleasant email exchanges I now own a pair of brand new Illesteva Mayfair Havana Gold opticals and got my prescription filled out, too! Amazing service! I bought a beautiful pair of glasses here two years ago and they're still holding up extremely well. Thank you to the associate who warmed up and tightened my frames for free.
They have a huge selection and I'd definitely buy from them again. Trust me, Illesteva is a sun glass brand that's worth the money!

Terrible customer service. Do NOT buy from this store. They will treat you like gold when you are wanting and ready to buy, but if you have any issues, you are offered no solutions and told to email customer service.
I purchased the Lafayette Optical glasses with clip on frames and boy was that a mistake. The dummy lenses in the store fit the frame perfectly and integrate with the clip on system.
I purchased both the frames and clip on's and Thamson sold me on using their opticians for the frames. BIG MISTAKE. I should have used my own. Thamson promised for $80 they'd be the best

I love your sunglasses: me and my bf got a pair. Guess what - my beautiful suncase got lost recently :-( (I rarely misplace my things) so we decided to go by today and get a replacement since these glasses need a sturdy nice case. We were given a free one ! What a great surprise on this gloomy day. The customer service in Illesteva is always pleasant, we'll be back. (I have my eye on Palm Beach)

Loved the selection & customer service, bought a new pair after searching for a unique set of frames for months.
To the company owners: my optometrist can only send prescriptions via FAX, and said there are legal concerns with emailing prescriptions.
When I called to confirm a fax was ok, I was told the manufacturer goes through so much volume that they only process through email. I had to have my optometrist mail me a paper copy, then I scanned it and emailed it to the manufacturer.
It would be great if you worked with a lens manufacturer that accepted faxes since it took a few more days

I don't know why I hadn't heard of Illesteva before, but I'm glad I know about it now. I really love the selection they have here - stylish, unique, sometimes whimsical. And the prices are so reasonable, for frames that are made in ITALY.

I love this place!!! Wonderful selection, super friendly customer service, reasonable prices...what more can you ask for? I found my dream glasses here!!! It only cost me $165 for frames AND prescription!!! I'm used to paying close to $400 for glasses so I was shocked (and relieved) to find that I would be saving for something that looked much more chic AND higher quality than my last pair. I can't wait to go back!
