Dr. Scott Higer has been practicing at Meridian Veterinary Hospital since 1993, with ownership since 1996. He grew up in Caldwell and completed his undergraduate studies at both Northwest Nazarene University and the University of Idaho.

Absolutely love this place and wouldn’t take my cat and dog anywhere else they love it here. They really put in the time and effort to make sure your animal is well taken care of. Had an urgent matter with jelly and they were able to squeeze her in that day and help her while doing Riley’s vaccines as well the same visit.

We've used a couple of different vets in the past and really enjoyed Meridian Vet Hospital. The doctor was very sweet to our pup and took the time to address all of our concerns. We are grateful to have a high quality place so close to our house as well! Thanks Meridian Vet Hospital.

Even though my dog was not
an established patient, they were able to see her the day after I called! I was able to enter the office and stay with my dog, unlike other places that make you wait in your car for, possibly, hours on end. After a short wait, the vet came in. Very nice, friendly and down to earth. She examined my dog, called in some prescriptions to Costco and I was on my way!

I have been using Meridian Veterinary Hospital since I moved here in 2005. Dr. Scott Higer is the best vet I've ever known; thorough, knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. Not a bargain basement but my dogs are always in good hands. Peace of mind is a bonus!

Great friendly staff! I did alot of research on vets around the area. I picked this Veterinary because of the reviews, the bios of the staff and they made an effort to fit me in the schedule, plus they do follow up calls. I felt confident that they would take great care of my first dog. Miranda, a Gordon Setter. Been pleased with every visit.

All of the staff at Meridian Veterinary Hospital are very kind, loving and knowledgeable. When my beloved Joe crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Dr. Albrecht took the time to call and share her sympathies with me. She did not rush me off the phone but really cared and listened as I grieved. Since then I have gotten two new puppies and they have both been welcomed and loved by all the staff! I would never trust anyone else with my fur babies!
