A family-owned business, TVVH has been serving the Treasure Valley community for more than 30 years. At TVVH, we practice gold-standard veterinary medicine by hiring the best people and providing them with state-of-the-art equipment to practice the best medicine. We provide veterinary care for more than just cats and dogs!
We have experience in providing veterinary care for most species, such as rabbits, pocket pets, reptiles, birds, primates, turtles, and fish, to name a few. Sorry cows and pigs, while we love you as much as any dog, cat, or exotic we see, you have to be seen by a large animal veterinarian.

Services
Brian Greene said the relationship between memory and time is a very deep and tricky one. With that in mind, the story of TVVH started more than 30 years ago with Dr. Volkman. What we know about Dr. Volkman is that a local subdivision bears his name. After a few short years, Dr. Volkman sold TVVH to Dr. Pence.
Primary care is loosely defined as healthcare at a basic rather than specialized level. As your primary care veterinarian, TVVH is your first point of contact for all your pet's health care needs. We are also your continuing point of contact for any chronic health issues your pet may have, and would coordinate any specialized care your pet requires.
We know that when you are concerned about your pet's health, waiting is not an option - that's why we offer drop-off options. For late-night emergencies, our after-hours triage service is always free for you to use. Just call us at 208-888-4844 to be connected to our triage nurses whenever you need them.
Just like humans, dental health is important to your pet's overall health. Your pet's teeth are a common route for illness and infections when not cared for. For example, animals with dental issues risk bacteria invading the body through the mouth. Your pet's teeth and gums should be checked annually by a veterinarian to identify any issues early.
Preventative care is the most important type of care you can provide for your pets. Preventative care not only keeps your pets healthy and happy, it can also help you avoid large veterinarian bills later. The best part about preventative care is that in most situations it can be accomplished by simply bringing your pets to us for their annual wellness exams, which is much like your annual exam with your primary care physician.

Dr. Zann and vet tech C.R. provided us excellent care, allowed time for us to express our concerns, explained physical exam findings, explained all treatment options, rationale, benefits of options, possible side effects of meds and treatments. Price options were made clear. Outlined a clear plan of care, and provided us with that plan and medication information via email. Other staff are responsive and friendly. We always get called back and have our requests taken care of promptly. These guys are great!

Highly disappointed and all I will say is make sure you know what you are paying for up front before you let them do anything with your pet. You come in assuming you are just getting a couple puppy vaccines and then leave paying $319. The whole experience was eye opening and the over selling of many products and services felt pushy and off putting. I have never experienced that at a vet clinic before and we won't be returning with any of our other pets.

Friendly, thorough and swift staff. My boy Meier broke his kneecap and we were seen the same day I called and were given the best service and good treatment. He will probably not need surgery because of the way the bone broke, but rest and meds. He will be x-rayed again in 4 weeks to make sure the break is healing.

I recently had shoulder surgery and since then I haven’t been able to brush my dog Whiskey. Everyone else I’ve called or taken him to wouldn’t touch him because they were afraid. I wish I had a before picture… so y’all knew how bad it was. But his belly was matted. His back end had dread locks down to the ground. His neck had some dreadlocks. This was my last ditch effort before paying a lot of money to have my dog put to sleep so they someone could get the dreadlocks out. McKayla at Treasure Valley Vet already had me at ease when I called to schedule an appointment
