Services
Farrell's Martial Arts has offered Martial Arts & Taekwondo training in the Des Moines area since 1989. Our well-equipped facilities are open six days a week, with flexible class times that can accommodate the most challenging of family schedules. We are the top full-time black belt Taekwondo school in Des Moines, Urbandale, Waukee, Clive, Johnston and the surrounding areas.
Preschool martial arts classes in Des Moines, Urbandale, Grimes, Clive, Johnston and Waukee. Our Little Dragons program will help your 4 or 5 year old to grow up healthy, happy and confident!. Each 30 minute class includes exercises to develop balance, coordination, gross motor skills and confidence.
Kids today have so many reasons to not be active. The temptation to spend hours in front of screens can lead to decreased physical activity. Taekwondo is a fun way to stay active and to improve strength, flexibility and endurance. Your child will also increase their coordination, reflexes and athletic skill.
Would you like to look forward to working out? Now you can. Our adult classes are taught by high energy instructors who will inspire you to give your best. No two classes are alike, and at each session you will learn new techniques and refine your skills. It's a process of constant learning that will motivate you train consistently.
Farrell's Martial Arts offers private group self defense classes in the Des Moines, Iowa, area. We'll come to you or you can come to us! Organizations that routinely have employees or contractors in the field meeting along with prospects or clients (real-estate, insurance agents, property managers, etc.)

Farrell's is an amazing place if you want your child to learn Martial Arts. Every instructor holds high expectations for the students and are willing to help students as needed. My child needs to work on his listening skills and the instructors at Farrell's help him develop this skill. Students also learn respect for self and others. I highly recommend Farrell's if you or your child is considering learning martial arts!

My boys just started last month and they love it! The instructors and staff are amazing! Not only are they learning martial arts, but they are learning respect and so much more! My boys are in the same class, they are different ages and learning at different paces, but still enjoying the same class. My oldest struggles with being bullied, the lessons in class teaching them it is ok to be different and keep doing what makes you happy really helped my oldest! Thank you for the amazing program! You guys are awesome!

Our son attends the Aim High classes, the monthly themes are great lessons. The instructors at Farrells Martial Arts have made him excited to be there and come back. The respect he is shown has made me teary eyed a couple of times. The instructors are able to capture his attention for 45 minutes at a time which is an increase of class time for him. What the instructors teach can be applied to any situation in his life. The atomsphere is nothing like where he spent his previous 2 years learning Taewkondo. Farrells is clean, they sanitize the mats after each class. Other children in class are respectful

Farrell’s Martial Arts is an elite school for whatever you purpose is for martial arts training. For kiddos it’s a great place to learn respect, discipline, and have fun. For teens and adults it’s great for fitness, stress relief, and personal goal attainment. Cannot say enough good things about Farrell's Martial Arts. Started it with my son 7 years ago, we are both black belts now, and have loved every minute of it! This has been life-changing for both of us, and the best part is I get to do it with him. He started when he was 4, now a black belt at 11 and we love to train together and be in class together. I know my health would be much worse if I had not started and stuck with taekwondo, and I am truly grateful to all the instructors for their guidance and help. As a parent and a participant, I cannot recommend them enough!

Farrell’s is a wonderful place to learn martial arts. My son has been going there for a number of years and he absolutely loves it. The instructors are amazing! They are very dedicated, patient, caring and always take the time to help and encourage their students. They love what they do and you see that with every interaction. I highly recommend Farrell’s to anyone looking to learn Taekwondo and to any parent looking for a positive, fun activity for their kids, where they will not only learn TKD but many other life skills as well.
