We are a small bakery located in Lenexa, KS that is women owned and operated. We enjoy creating unique desserts and pastries as well as one-of-a-kind custom designer cakes. At The Pantry KC, we pride ourselves on collaborating with and supporting other local business. Dee graduated in 2015 from the New England Culinary Institute, one of the most world-renowned programs in the country, but that's not where her interest in baking began.
After completing her degree in genetics at Purdue she started baking as a hobby and quickly realized just how passionate she was about it. Dee has worked in some of the most distinguished pastry departments in the United States including The Omni at Mt. Washington in New Hampshire and The Little Nell in Aspen.

We at The Pantry KC believe in good quality, simple ingredients that you can identify and taste. Every weekend our Chef uses European ingredients and recipes to introduce the Kansas City area to classic treats like traditional British Scones with Clotted Cream; delicate Victoria Sponge Cakes; delicious Cherry Bakewell tarts, and hearty Cornish Pasties.
Our tender, British style scones start with the best ingredients. We use only European style butter, sweet cream and real fruits, zests and berries. We believe in a simple flavorful recipe where these key ingredients get to shine. We never glaze our scones and we never frost them! Our scones contain less sugar than the average scone because we want you to taste the natural sweetness in the butter and "Johnsonshire Clotted Cream".

At The Pantry KC we make Italian Meringue Buttercream from scratch. We never use shortening! We only use a European style butter. Italian Buttercream is typically used for high end wedding cakes. At The Pantry KC we believe every cake should be as good as a wedding cake. You will taste and feel the premium quality in our smooth and delicious buttercream cakes.

Great find if you're looking for quiche! I called them and placed a special order for a 9 inch ham and cheese quiche, and they had it ready for me to pick up within a few hours. The quality of the quiche was very good. Next time, I would ask for a little less cheese. But overall flavor was great, and ingredients were super fresh. Friendly service, too!

I was frequenting one of my local consignment food stores, when I came upon a small box of shortbread cookies. I love shortbread, something passed down from my father, who got it from his grandmother, who apparently baked the world's best shortbread cookie. Well, generations pass, and titles of 'world's best' should be passed along with them.
The recipient of that title may very well be Dee and her partner at The Pantry KC. Shortbread cookies may not be for the dieters, but everything in moderation, as the Greeks might say. I just *had* to find out who made these delights.

Stumbled upon this local gem by mistake. Was looking for a coffee shop in the Norh-side Lenexa area and used Google. It brought up 'The Pantry' of which i had never heard of even though i live just 12 blocks from this business. Very unique bakery-coffee shop with homemade pastries and great selection of bakery items. Had a cinnamon roll with latte and both were excellent. This place sits off the main Quivera strip on the east side. Will definitely make this my local stop. Highly recommend.

This place is wonderful! Scones are scrumptious, Cruffins are delightful, cookies, cakes, muffins, etc are all incredible. The best of ingredients and great company when you walk in. Feels like home. Wanted to try a new place for coffee and pastries after church. Did a quick search and found this great place!! The owner Deepal Patel is a very well trained pastry chef with a passion for the finest ingredient and you can taste it in every creamy, crispy, flakey luxurious bite. So much to choose from. Don't visit too late in the morning, when they're sold out of an item, it's gone for the day. I can't wait to go back. You're missing out if you don't stop in to pick up a sweet treat soon.

So good. I can't eat dairy or gluten. I assumed there would be nothing for me eat when I went with family. There was a little. Which surprised me and it was delicious! I was also able to order different muffins to pick up for a trip that's coming up.
My family can eat dairy and gluten so they've tried a variety of items. All are beautiful. Fam says they are delicious.

Tried out The Pantry KC for the first time today. We certainly will return. We had the cranberry orange scone (been searching for a bakery that served them) and their Cruffin, a cross between a croissant and a muffin. Both were excellent! Love that there is this little gem tucked away at 77th and Quivera.

Get the scones! Take them home, cut in half, microwave for 30 seconds, place butter on them and close up to melt. Sip tea and be a freaking English princess for 2 minutes or however long that scone lasts.
And honestly get anything here. It's all delicious. We were so happy to get goodies from this place on Sunday. We support this local bakery over any regular grocery store cookie!

If there is a good thing about COVID-19 it is that I am finally venturing to places that I have had bookmarked forever. I am so impressed with this bakery from the customer service to the last crumb of my scone. My little one really wanted a chocolate croissant for breakfast but they were not on the weekly menu so I asked if we could get a plain croissant (also not on the menu however a croissant sandwich was) and they were happy to oblige then I stuffed it with chocolate chips. The scones come in a two pack right now with sides of clotted cream. The traditional way of serving scones. I chose

I ordered a sort of last minute carrot cake from The Pantry KC and WOW. The whole process was simple, quick, and the folks there were relaxed and kind. The cake itself was delicious! We enjoyed their classic carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Such a great way to celebrate a special birthday - thank you!

The Pantry has very quickly become my go to breakfast and dessert location. The food is amazing and very clearly created with love and care. The coffee comes from a local roaster and is so delicious and smooth. Today I learned that they make breakfast burritos, and they are easily the best breakfast burritos I have ever had. I found this lovely shop by complete accident one day, and am so happy I did. I cannot stress enough, everyone who enjoy sweets, breakfast, or even just a cup of coffee has to visit The Pantry at least once in their life! Keep up the good work!

I found this terrific bakery by searching for somewhere to grab a coffee and something to eat (something different than the standard fast-food fare) while on a road trip that just happened to bring us through Lenexa.....it's a tad hard to find, but OMG it's well worth the effort!
I had a bacon-egg-cheese croissant and my hubby had a bacon frittata and both were excellent (sorry, hubs ate his so fast I didn't get a photo!).....everything looked SO good we also grabbed a couple of sandwiches and some cookies for later in the day.....they tasted even better than they looked, so much

I'm a sucker for sweets, especially chocolate sweets! Stopped in yesterday with the whole crew to enjoy a Spring Break kickoff. Each one of us picked something different and we sampled from each other.
We were offered a sack to take home our leftovers, which I thought was foolish, until after several decadent bites left us too full to finish.
Day two and the sweets were still super tasty and now gone. Which only leaves me wondering when I can make it back for another Irish Whiskey Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake. Heaven.

My sister-in-law recently ordered a birthday cake for my nephew who was turning five and told me that she ordered the cake from this shop and was really happy with the entire experience.
I can't speak for the experience, but I can tell you that this was a beautiful cake - absolutely beautiful and delicious, too! It was a very dense, rich almost pound cake like chocolate cake with an Italian buttercream that was spot-on - very silky and smooth.
My nephew *loved* it and was just in awe and everyone enjoyed it. I could have eaten the entire thing myself, but I resisted.

This shopping plaza looks a little drab from the outside, but it has a hidden gem that is anything but that. The Pantry KC is cute little bakery that whips up a bunch of adorable and delectable treats. The shop is bright and inviting. The owners, Joanna and Deepal, are super sweet people. The treats are a delight on the eyes and stomach. Indulge your sweet tooth here!

This is such a cute little bakery and such a great a location! I stopped by for an iced sugar cookie, because it's my weakness, but there were so many delicious options! The shop itself is small, but cozy. Definitely somewhere I could hang out for awhile and do homework. They were in the midst of a photo shoot when we stopped in, so lots of fun displays and products.
The blondies are delicious, such a wonderful butterscotch flavor! We tried a peanut butter chocolate ugly mug cake, which is heavenly. It's so delicious and rich that it's nearly impossible to finish in one sitting

Monday was National Cheesecake Day. Personally I think it was just an excuse to eat cheesecake and let's be honest, who needs an excuse. I saw this Facebook ad that the Pantry KC was selling their cheesecakes for half price in honor of the day & said why not.

I've had my eye on this place since I read about it online and today was the first day I've had a chance to get over there. It's not very visible from the street, because there is no sign, but it's 2 doors down from Fronteras. I arrived a couple minutes before they opened. When I walked in, I was hit with the smell of baking pastries. My mouth started watering immediately. Everything looks amazing. Unfortunately I'd not had breakfast yet so I went a bit overboard.
