WestStar property managers will treat your properties like they are their own. They will inspect them on a regular basis, make sure they are clean and everything is functioning smoothly, and work with tenants on any maintenance issues. WestStar has a General Contractor's license so we can do and oversee any type of construction that your property might need.
We have techs who know how to rehab units, fix exteriors, redo landscape, and just about any other job you may need. Tenants can easily submit maintenance requests through our website. Because we have techs, we can take care of most maintenance issues quickly and cost effectively. We always have techs on call and we have a variety of vendors who can help at a moment's notice.

I have now been told to come for a showing of an apartment twice only to be left with nobody showing up. Mind you, I flew from Portland to Long Beach to see the place. Then yesterday I received an email and a text saying that I could send a friend to view the place between 10-10:30 in which again, no agent showed up. I can only imagine the nightmare it would be to rent from this lousy company. Horrible communication, flakey and just plain poor business practices.

Westar property is THE WORSE PROPERTY TO EVER LIVE. Your property manager Pilar, is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, alongside the Technician. No one I repeat no one ever fix any issues. They even rent the hnit out with broken heater, the whole apartment was smoked out and nobody at this unit ever came.
I made sure i took pictures of my apartment unit beforw i moved out because I felt they will be grimey and keep some of my deposit, now look, this unit is cleaned, ready for move in, they still kept 1025 of my money, claiming they had to clean the unit.
They are very unprofessional, the worse apartment to

Terrible management, the unit I had rented out was a sad attempt at making an old office a “one bedroom” with zero bathroom ventilation, no garbage disposal, ceiling fan right next to the fire alarm?????? My kitchen cupboards werent even put in correctly or reinforde in and my “ closet” was directly where the mailboxes were so I could hear every tenant slamming their door closed 80 times a day. Jesus don’t even get me started on safety - people literally living under the building and the amount of times I had to call the police and beg the landlord to DO anything?! Eventually they ”locked”

We have bird mites in our ceiling because pigeons have nested above our roof and they aren’t fixing the problem but continue to threaten us if we don’t pay rent, these people are disrespectful and trifling, we can’t wait for our lease to be up in January, DO NOT move into their locations, especially 11702 York Ave hawthorne, CA.

Hi I lived at 1735 for 7 yrs before west star even took over the place. Yes I agree with everyone they are bad and I would not recommend them to anyone. They kick everyone out even people who had section 8 they went up on the rent and tried kicking us out without giving us are deposit back one of my neighbors had to go to court just to get her full deposit back. This company with not last long. One day west star will not be around.

I lived in the studio apt for two years, after I moved out without getting a final walkthrough I took them to court Lavina Licon told the courts that I left the apt in a mess and that it smelled bad. She won now I have to pay for things that were not even in the apt and things I know they didn't fix.dont rent from them you WILL regret it.

Avoid renting from them if you can. There was a break in at 938 E. 6th St. and they did nothing. Cars and every single mailbox was broken into. Also, they have cameras in and around the building that don’t even work!!!!! I moved out on 7/31/21 and when I moved in 4/21/2020 I paid a deposit of $1795. Today they send me an itemized breakdown saying I’m only getting a refund of $220 because they have to paint the whole unit, clean and there was damage. I didn’t damage the apt and painting after a tenant leaves is STANDARD! Real life crooks just to keep your security deposit. AVOID THEM AT ALL

Finally got scheduled a viewing of 1735 E 10st after 4 days of no contact from West star property and I get here at 11am and there’s no manager to show the property. It was an Open house viewing and the other people there to view the property were disappointed as well. Huge red flag. It’s a good idea to steer clear of West star as your time living with them may be hell.
I’m not a current tenant but the reviews from past tenants prove to be true from my experience today.
Also you may not get your deposit or the full deposit back according to some past tenants.

This place has awful customer service. The reviews that say they do the bare minimum at 100% accurate. Just to name a few issues... they expect for you to schedule your own maintenance requests during business hours and be present (even if you grant them entry in the request). You work a FT job during business hours? Not their problem! They also had residents make duplicates of our keys to give to the property manager (without reimbursement). However, they'll charge you to have a locksmith come out DURING BUSINESS HOURS. What was the point of having us make duplicates? And why didn't they already
