I gave lived in multiple states and a few countries since I have been a member for the credit union. I have always been able to get all my banking needs handled in a timely and professional manner. Between there online services or a simple phone call from anywhere I have lived I have been taken care of. Will continue to be a member for as long as I can.

I have never been treated as kindly by any staff throughout the entire system as I was with AMUCU. Everyone went out of their way to make my loan simple, easy, fast, and efficient, yet with a personal, caring touch, a very hard thing to do. The rates and overall program are better than anywhere else , which is another plus, and there were no false promises made. I trust these people with 1005 of their word for integrity and honesty stand at the core of dealing with the military, as do personal service and going the extra military esprit d corps step.

I have been treated with such kindness and understanding by the team at the Foothill Drive location (especially the manager Mr. Thompson). They have been able to take care of all my banking needs and make suggestions in order to keep my accounts secure and best serve my needs! I would definitely recommend them to any fellow Veteran who needs a bank they can trust.

Of all the banks and credit unions I have been a member of, AMUCU is by far the best! They have reached out to me on several occasions in order to help my consolidate my debt, get the best account to suit my needs and income, as well as working with me during the hardship of the pandemic that caused my account to be overdrafted. Also, they have allowed me to build my credit by issuing me a credit card that I am able to pay off monthly, They have quite a few veterans as members, so they are familiar with some of the service-member specific scenarios we get ourselves into.

I have never in my life experienced customer service like I have at American United Federal Credit Union. I am 68 years of age. The whole staff at the Salt Lake VA never cease to amaze, with tips on preventing identity theft to knowing the latest scams before they happen to you ... the are hands-down THE BEST!

Very nice credit union. Today I had to stop in at a lobby near my doctor appointment and in the course of giving me my cash, the teller asked me if I knew about the Gold Star program because I have my retirement funds directly deposited (and/or becuase I'm a veteran maybe). He said it would give me a bigger end-of-year dividend. Last year I was delighted to receive a few dollars that way, and because he was kind enough to look twice at my account today, I will get a few more. Very nice of him. There are other good things about this credit union too, such as partnering with many others for basic

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but when it's warranted I believe to do the right thing. I Wanted to refinance my two vehicles with them. Q (yes that's his name) was giving me rates double of what I got at Chartway Credit Union. If you understand finance and how the loan officers are paid, he definitely was looking out for himself and not the member! He wasn't concerned about me or helping better the rates I was paying..well he did beat them by 1%. He said "That's all I need to do is beat your old rate!" He said for me to get my payoffs and get them to him

I have been with American United ever since they bought out VAMCU (veterans credit union) around 2010 I think. And since then it has been a downward spiral. American United is the worst, any time I call it is a miracle if I get through to anyone, I just hung up after holding for 77 minutes when their recording said the wait time was 56 minutes and I only had 5 people ahead of me. They are the most inconvenient financial institution I deal with, I have 3 others I have accounts with and they all put American United to waste, I miss VAMCU, they were so superior to American United, it's a shame

There have been a few issues with these guys.
1. I've had payments made to the wrong loans, when the memo and acct # clearly say where it was supposed to go.
2. I've been lied to and told by one teller that I am not allowed to make a principal payment when I've been sending them in for 3 years (another teller confirmed that of course I was allowed to make principal payments).
3. When you message their customer service, they don't answer for days and then when they do, the answer they give is missing most of the information you asked for.
4. I stopped going to the branches
