Here at Maui Diving, our shark dive is one of our most popular, and in our opinion one of the very best dives that Maui has to offer! Our Scooter Dive is sure to leave you smiling, as you glide effortlessly through the water without having to kick! 2-Tank Dive in the evening as light begins to wane on a peaceful reef followed up by a night dive to see what's hunting and what's sleeping.

About a week before my first Hawaii trip, I Googled "scuba diving Maui" and saw "cave diving" in the results. I was immediately drawn, having done amateur spelunking many years ago. I immediately signed up then I was later asked to take a refresher course since I have only 15 dives all over 5 years ago. I gladly accepted, assuming that this would be a few hours of classroom followed by pool session. After a refresher with 4 others, we jumped in the van and went on 2 dives, both incredible. Did two dive tours (Mala Pier Plus and Twilight + Night dives) with Will and Deborah respectively and both were amazing! They drive you from the shop to the dive sites, and have all the gear for diving. We got back later than planned for the night dive, but it meant we got to spend more time in the water so it worked out well for me. If it helps, I am a newly certified diver... and I highly recommend these dives!

My husband and I went Scuba diving for the first time this month. Simon was our instructor and he is very good at teaching, very patient and helpful through out the whole journey both above and underwater! The memory is unforgettable. Highly recommend this shop. Everything about our experience was incredible! It had been 7 years since our last dives so I was very nervous, but not to worry because our dive master Deborah was amazing! She made sure every person felt confident in their skills before doing the dives. She checked on us regularly when diving to ensure we were safe and feeling good. Thanks to Maui Dive for making my Maui visit super awesome. this was kinda bucket list stuff so it was great to work with Maui Diving - they take it seriously.
The office staff was helpful in selecting the right dives for me - they took care to walk me through everything and discuss all the options and my instructor Sarah was an amazing dive master.
Saw all the sea creatures we could ask for - heck of a way to spend the afternoon. Mahalo guys!

My experience was not even a one star! I have stage 4 lung cancer and found out my doctor unfortunately said no more diving for me. We had a horrific time trying to get a full refund with this terrible dive shop! Do Not use this business. They will tell you one thing, then charge you $80 to cancel even though we gave one week notice!! So unprofessional...i am really offended. SAD anti Aloha times with these people.

We had a great experience with this dive shop. From the moment we walked in, Andre took us under his wing and made sure we were properly fitted with dive gear and provided some excellent dive locations.
We did seven shore dives on west Maui, saw many incredible species, and made friends along the way. Next visit, we plan to jump on a boat and check out many other locations.
We’d highly recommend this shop and suggest you ask for Andre. His service was bar none – he’s got great jokes, upbeat, friendly, and super helpful.

Whether you're newly certified or have hundreds of dives under you're belt, Maui Diving is the only place you want to be.
I did 5 dives with them during this most recent trip to Maui and I can't speak highly enough of the positivity of their staff, the quality of their gear, the cleanliness of the shop, the wealth of knowledge they imparted on each dive group...I loved every dive I did with them.
Mala Pier was 100% my favorite, if you only do one dive - make it Mala...I loved it so much I did it twice.

Writing this Yelp review so no one wastes their money. ONLY do the 2 day certification if you've swam in the ocean and have done a good amount of snorkeling. The 2 day course is not for newbies which is something the diving shop failed to mention when we booked our course. You will be doing all the skills in open water even the ones you are supposed to do in confined dives. So its expected that you are comfortable with learning difficult skills in waves and ocean.

Loved our experience diving with Maui Diving! Ethan and Bruce guided us and set up all our equipment. Our first dive at Blackrock was gorgeous - tons of fish, fun caves and easy waters. Walking to the site with all our gear wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and once we were in the water we were fine and comfortable.
The second dive blew my mind. Best dive I have been on for all the fish and coral and amazing ruins of Mala Pier. Saw turtles galore, many types of fish and three white tipped sharks resting under the pier. It was apocalyptic and heavenly at the same time. Felt well cared

Hat's off to such a wonderful scuba diving team. My partner and I had two 2-tank shore dives, led by Ethan/Kasha and Jillian. Everyone was incredibly engaging, loved what they do and really knew the diving environment. They gave us some incredible experiences, showed us some incredible wildlife and spent the time / attention to educate us on undersea life around Maui.

We LOVED our experience with Maui Diving. My friend and I chose to do the Twilight and Night Dive, both dives of which rank among our most memorable experiences in Maui. First off, our guide Nico couldn't be more accommodating, from getting our gear to readying up to doing the dive itself (I hope your toe is better man).

Tl;dr super professional, fairly priced, awesome dive sites
I came here to get open water certified and had an absolute blast learning on the water. The certification takes place over two days with 4 open water dives.
My instructor was Jillian and she was excellent. She was super fun and made me feel at ease in and under the water. She made sure to prep us on the skills we would be covering before entering the water and made sure we understood the hand signals she would use to communicate with us when we were under. We all learned a lot and made sure we had a good time when doing it.

Our positive experience started with Derek over the phone who helped us book some last minute (and by that I mean diving the next 3 days) shore dives, a last minute ADVANCED certification course by my boyfriend, and a last minute boat charter out to Lanai. Derek's sense of humor is awesome and his goofy kind-heartedness was most obvious when he offered us his homemade ceviche with fish he caught himself. Anyone who is that generous with avocado in his ceviche needs no further proof of their merit.

12/10 highly recommended!! It was my first time scuba diving and I definitely panicked a little at the beginning. The instructor gave me time to calm down, swim at the surface and come down at my own pace while still allowing the others in my group to have a good experience.
If I come to Maui I'll definitely swim with them again (if they'll have me!) and highly recommend them to other first time divers too.

Maui diving did a good job communicating with me prior to my arrival at the islands as to timing, cost other scheduling details.
What really impressed my was the dive leader, Jr.
Its fairly easy to do a good job when everything goes smoothly. The 1st planned site was reported to be very bad conditions by exiting dive instructors so we called it and went to a second location.
At the second location we got about 10 minutes into the dive before the leader called the dive due to miserable conditions.
The third location resulted in a very nice 60 minute dive with lots of turtles and interesting

Great dive shop and instructors. Junior made sure everyone in the group was comfortable and ready to go for each dive. We purchased a 6 dive package and didn't regret it. Every dive had something new and interesting things to see. The most memorable ones were the Mala Pier, night dive and the 5 caves. After seeing so many turtles at Mala Pier we also decided to come back ourselves to go snorkeling a few days later.
The workers at the shop were very accommodating as well. My regulator had an issue, so I was able to rent one for a couple of days while they fixed it.

The diving in Maui is amazing and one of the reasons why we came to Maui for our vacation. There are a lot of options to scuba right from the beach and many options for dive outfits to go out with. That being said, the folks at Maui Diving Scuba Center have the local knowledge to keep their clients safe and also educate and inform and I am glad we choose them.
I signed up for the 5 star 5 dive package and ended up booking one additional Mala dive with them because the diving there is so good. In all, I spent 5 days diving with them and a total of 9 dives. They were well organized and prepared

The best part of our Maui vacation was our scuba trip with Ethan. The other group cancelled so it was just my boyfriend, Ethan and myself. He was super knowledgeable about diving and made sure we were comfortable at all times! The beach we went to was perfect for our first dive. We enjoyed it so much we are finishing our certs and already planning a dive trip. We also rented snorkel gear for the week and used it non stop. Fair pricing and super easy transactions. Thank you so much for making our trip!!
