Judaism teaches that every individual is made in the image of God (tzelem elohim or )and this philosophy influences the way we view each child in our care. Our broad approach is to offer activities and challenges that are both developmentally and age appropriate while staffing each classroom with a minimum of two adults.
Our classroom ratio is 6 students to one adult and in our small group sessions that ratio is even lower. We do this so that each and every child is truly seen and understood. You won't find toddlers being "taught to write their letters" (they lack the muscular control and core stability to be able to do this) although you'll find them engaged in a range of activities that are the precursor to these later skills.

Congregation Adat Reyim didn't come up with the wonderful African expression, "It takes a village to raise a child, " but we are living proof that it does take a community. You'll notice this as soon as you enter our building.
We are incredibly fortunate to be part of a congregation that values the important things -- like children (who like to run, climb and explore) and people of all ages who come together to share a meal, a holiday or to support each other in difficult times. You'll notice that we use all parts of our building for a range of activities.

At Adat Reyim Preschool we find child-initiated, child-directed, teacher-supported play is the most important component of our program, allowing children to grow physically, emotionally and socially. Children learn to negotiate, share, cooperate and respects the rights of others. Adat Reyim Preschool is influenced by the Reggio-Emilia philosophy and has adopted this style of learning to fit our programs and encompass Jewish values.
Whether you are a returning family or new to the school, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our wonderful community preschool. We know that children learn best when they feel safe, secure and (most importantly) loved. This is why we work to create an environment where children are truly seen and celebrated and where they have the opportunity to challenge their minds and their bodies.

After searching so many schools we finally found Adat Reyim, We are really Lucky that we have selected this Pre-School for our daughter the teachers at school are very caring and kind the director of the school and rest of the staff is so responsible and loving, at Adat Reyim they personally take care of each and every child and provide them with best possible care, best thing is that the moment you enter the school building you have this clean and tidy feeling which usually most of the pre-schools are missing these days. And for sure I can say that this school is not commercial they are really

Our preschooler is flourishing at Adat Reyim Pre-School. The school has provided a loving and safe environment that has fueled learning. The school incorporates some of the best features of Reggio Emillia and Montessori approach to learning. There is such a strong culture of social education - kids learning how to interact kindly and pro-socially with one another.
The teachers (Ms Maria and Ms Allison) are wonderful and warm. You can tell that they really do care about the kids. The student-teacher ratio is fabulous so there's always an adult to lead a project, help, encourage when needed

Each of my three kids have attended both the preschool and summer camps. It's a wonderful community of families, warm and attentive teachers, and a positive and energetic director. We have had a wonderful experience watching our kids learn an grow under their wonderful care. I love the STEAM Lab, as well as the art and music classes, all while maintaining the "learn through play" philosophy The kids are so engaged and happy to go to school every day!!

This is a fabulous preschool that is growing by the day and filled with unique learning activities. My daughter attended starting at age 3 and was very well prepared for kindergarten! Our son started in the 2s class and we couldn't be more pleased with the personal attention he is getting in the 3s class this year. He loves the STEAM lab, music program and Lego club!

5 Stars for Adat Reyim preschool!! The teachers and directors are awesome. There is a small student to teacher ratio allowing for individual learning. This preschool has a small school feel with all the big school amenities such as a steam teacher, a certified kindermusik teacher, and an art teacher. So fabulous! And my son is loving the after school classes in Legos, cooking and music. I highly recommend AR preschool!

Both of my children (4.5 and 2.5) attend Adat Reyim Preschool. We started here in 2013 and have seen the school grow tremendously! There is now a STEAM (science, technology, engineering and math) lab with a STEAM specialist where the children do amazing projects and learn so much. There are specialized art classes and music/movement classes with amazing teachers as well . The small class sizes and overall warm community feel make this school a special place. This preschool is truly wonderful!

If you are looking for a true "community," then this is it. There are congregants of every age, stage, and background and it is so gratifying to see how people truly take care or one another. I'm amazed at the breadth of programming for a small congregation, for toddlers to empty nesters. Since music so important in my life, I appreciate how music is such a part of congregational worship and activities. There are a variety of ways to connect spiritually, including a monthly Folk Service which I love. Tot Shabbat is not to be missed - even if there isn't a toddler in your life

I contacted the preschool while the director, Gail, was on vacation. Within 24 hrs, Gail contacted me from vacation & gave me detailed information about the school. The preschool has a small class size- 1 teacher & an assistant teacher for 6 kids which is perfect for my shy 2 year old. Gail has a great positive energy & you can tell the teachers adopt that attitude as well. Everyone is genuinely happy to be there & there is a warm atmosphere to the school. We do not have a Jewish background, but Adat Reyim does a great job educating the children & including all cultures in their

Our three year old started with the Adat Reyim Preschool camp and now she is in the preschool program - we love it! The educators are wonderful and the preschool director is amazing. Our daughter enjoys going to school and I know she is in good hands while she is there. They really care about the students as individuals and the teacher to student ratios are the best in the area. Trust me, I looked at a LOT of programs and came back to Adat Reyim. You can't go wrong. Just book a visit and you will see it also. The families quickly and easily bond with one another. Best of all, the students
