Situated on 160 acres in a peaceful, secluded river valley surrounded by the peaked hills of Southern Vermont, Bald Mountain's setting in any season is unmatched. We offer 190 open and wooded sites, with many located on the beaver pond or the West River. We have a separate tenting area as well as pull-through and seasonal sites and can accommodate group camping with a rates-kitchen and pavilion.
Bald Mountain has been family-owned and operated for over 40 years, and we take pride in operating a clean, quiet, and friendly campground. Our amenities include restrooms, showers, dump station, laundromat, convenience store, playground, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, horseshoes, picnic tables, and fireplaces.

Do not come here with your EV and expect to get even the tiniest bit of charge to make it to your next destination. Run your air conditioner all day if you like, but don't try to use less power at an off-peak time. Even though their policy prohibits "charging of hybrid vehicles" and doesn't mention non-hybrids, don't take that to mean that the policy won't arbitrarily be enforced on EVs. If you don't want business from EV owners why don't you just say so explicitly, rather than taking our money and then harassing us?

Had a great experience tent camping, despite the rainy weather. We intended to stay for 2 nights but a family emergency came up. The owners refunded us for the 2nd night, which they didn't have to do. We had campsite B1 which was close to the office and the restrooms. The campsite was roomy and clean. The price per night for camping was very good. The firewood was more than reasonable, $3 per bundle and was based on the honor system. We ended up picking up a bundle in the evening and early morning and paid once the office was open. Definitely will be back, hopefully for a longer stay this time
