We stayed here for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend on site 26.
We were very impressed with how clean the campground was, bathroom, office, etc.
Our site was pretty level and really a large site with river access.
The campground was very quiet and relaxing and the staff was extremely friendly. There is a road across the river, so there is some traffic noise, but it was not bad.
We were about 20 minutes from downtown Keene.
We really enjoyed our stay here.
Make sure to follow the directions on the website if going vs. gps.

This is my opinion and should be taken as such. It was Labor Day weekend, the place was fully booked, but it was soooooo quiet. What an awesome place this was. I rarely dole out 5 ⭐. We were on site 26 backed up to the water. If we come back we would get 25 or 23 they have great view right over the water. The only downfall was the RT 10 is right on the other side of the river. (I really didn't mind that) The sites are pretty large. The dump station was probably the cleanest I have ever used. The staff was great. The grounds were pretty well maintained even after Ida had dumped some rain.

We visited our friends camping here last week and we camped here last summer. Nice camp ground. Clean facilities and well kept grounds. Depending on where you are in the campground there is traffic noise from a secondary highway not too far away. Great location for visiting Keene where you'll find good restaurants and shopping. You can ride your bike on the bike trail to Keene and other places from the campground.

My wife and I have been camping since we were first married 38 years ago. We've been to various campgrounds over the years but we know unequivocally that Ashuelot River Campground is our favorite! Owners and hosts Chuck and Laura are extremely accommodating and they strive to make everyone's stay the absolute best. The grounds are beautifully maintained and kept in pristine condition. We love hiking, biking, and kayaking and all of these things are accessible from the campground or just a short drive away. We book several trips to Ashuelot each camping season for all of these reasons. Both Chuck

Stayed for the weekend! Grounds and bathrooms were very well maintained.
Whether you like the open field or wooded sites or a cabin there is something for everyone!
NO NEED to save quarters for this trip showers are FREE!
Owners were very nice overall! It was a rainy weekend so we stayed at our site most of the weekend.
Would give this place five stars if it had a better swimming source river wasn’t very inviting for swimming but is good for kayaking or canoeing. However there is a lake nearby maybe 3-5 miles
Hiking trails right from the camp. And also what looked to be a dirt rail trail

We had such a great time here!! Laura and Chuck could not have been nicer. The campground, including the bathroom, was spotless. We loved our riverside site. We floated on tubes right off the bank. We drove the 9 miles up to Keene (Laura has the directions printed out) and parked and put in our boats. We kayaked back down (it takes about 3 hrs) pulled out right into our campsite. What a quiet beautiful river- we didn't see another soul or house until we got near the campground. The site was roomy for the 4 of us, with shady and sunny areas. Dogs are welcome who are leashed and quiet and all were
