Buying a home when you live in another state in tricky. You have to be able to rely on the people who said they would show up when you fly in and no service is more important than the home inspection. I read the good reviews and took a chance on At Ease Home Inspection. The day I flew to Statesville Gary was there at the appointed time. He stayed a few hours going through every aspect of the home, taking photos and making notes. He found several serious, but fixable issues and even found that the foundation was in danger. Where do I start? I wish I could give Gary and At Ease Home Inspections 10 stars! Gary was extremely professional, very quick to respond to my inquiry, very detailed in his explanation of the process to me as we were first time homebuyers, and offered very fair and competitive rates. He was able to work with our builder independently of us to achieve a home inspection on a very tight deadline and he did a fantastic job, the report was extremely detailed with pictures and allowed for us to be able to work with the builder to get our issues corrected. He was extremely thorough! I started off this review with that because of literally how much he notices. It truly is At Ease whenever he is done because I assure you he has seen every corner of that house. He will find things you never know existed let alone inspected. He is very reasonable as well as personable. He is very well informed as well as friendly enough to answer any questions you may have at anytime. I can't say enough how pleased we are of his work. I called Gary for a last minute Air Quality/Mold Test in a house which my husband and I were about to purchase. The knowledge, patients , kindness this man has is with no limits. He went in the crawl space and took samples from different hidden locations to make sure we catch any potential mold problems.
Sure enough the tests came back with really high mold issues in the house and he saved us our money, headaches with the house was supposed to be our HOME and most likely our health.
