This place is incredible! They actually will get you exactly what you need (was upsold on high index for years, and they cut me a lens of polycarbonate to show me that I wouldn’t need it), and are happy to cut lenses for your existing frames. I was able to get lenses for 3 frames updated in an hour for an extremely reasonable price. Very much looking forward to coming back here - no need to take a chance on online retailers with the Disneyland of glasses in LA!

Amazing customer service, selection and location. I've never seen so many options for glasses in one location nor have had such a helpful staff. Super understanding and patient with my elderly father who can be difficult. We walked in on a Tuesday afternoon with no appointment and they immediately jumped to assisting us. Definitely will be back and recommend!

Came in after work right before they closed, in desperate need of glasses since mine had broken off the cheap frame. The staff were very friendly and helpful and helped me choose a great new titanium frame for my lenses and had me fitted and checked out in less than 10 minutes. They have a great selection and great service definitely recommend!!

Amazing customer service!!! I broke my Persol frames a couple of days before my vacation, replacement were on back order 3 weeks, surprised me the next days as they personally called the rep, and had my frames delivered to the store, transferred my lenses to the new pair and returning my glasses to me

I was led to this shop because of the rave reviews and my fave sunglasses were in need of repair. The staff here was so kind to help me out and you can feel instantly the friendly small business family vibe at this place. I drove an hour and half to get to this amazing place and it was totally worth it!! Super friendly and welcoming staff, got my glasses in less than 15 min!!
If you need glasses don't hesitate to come to HOUR GLASS OPTICAL, everywhere else you will need to wait 2 to 3 weeks to get them ready and here you get them within minutes.

I was visiting in town from Texas and lost my glasses on Thursday, while my flight back was on Saturday morning (I cannot see without my glasses at all). I called every place possible and everyone said it’ll take either weeks or at best 24 hours to make a pair with my prescription. Hour Glass was the only place that was able to get it done immediately and they were able to save my trip from becoming a complete disaster. Definitely recommend this place to anyone in a similar situation who needs glasses made fast!

Wonderful experience! I can’t say enough great things about this place. I was searching for a pair of prescription basketball frames (goggles) for our 5 year old son. This is one of the ONLY place in LA that can cut lenses on the same day! In most cases, they can cut your lenses within the hour!
The staff is friendly, and the location is charming. We’ll be here again!

Weird place. No price-tags on the frames. The lady says they are discounted. How would I know? Yea it's fast service but something feels fishy about this place. The young woman seemed rushed. Weird energy. Doesn't seem like a trustworthy place. They seemed to be bothered by my asking questions. Supposedly the glasses are anti-scratch but the way they handled everything, I can't say I can fully trust them. Had I not needed glasses quick for my kid, I would have walked out without buying anything. I don't understand how people are giving them 5 star reviews.

I brought in a pair of frames and was able to get new lenses in them within 10 minutes. While I was waiting, I browsed their in store selection and found a pair of fun new frames that the owner gave me a great price on. Wonderful experience with the friendliest and knowledgeable staff.

Found this place through Yelp. Bought a new pair of frames and wanted to put prescription lens in them. Usually I go to my optometrist but I got a new optometrist and didn't really trust the opticians theres. Could have gone to my old eyeglass shop but that's in Orange County and didnt want to make the drive.
Went in with my Rx and frames and only took less than 30 minutes. I know they do same day service but I was expecting to drop them off and come back later in the day. I was completely surprise that I could just wait until they were ready. While I waited they had a nice selection

Ok...so I broke my glasses and I have a restriction on my license and need to have them on at all times when I'm driving.
Called up Hour Glass and told them my whole shpeel.....which they actually listened to so already from get go I was super happy....the process was easy and painless.
Now their selection....ok I'm not a huge Warby Parker fan now because everyone and their momma is wearing their frames and I wanted something that was a bit odd maybe a bit different. THEYRE SELECTION MADE THAT POSSIBLE! My frames look super RAD!
And the wonderful young lady behind the desk was BEYOND
